This place is delicious and inexpensive. We had this place on our radar all the way from Texas. They offer huge danishes for only 3 dollars! Try the butter tart it was my absolute favorite. We will be returning again before our trip is over. The lady serving the counter was so sweet and polite! More...

This is a great little bakery tucked away in a strip plaza at the southeast corner of Steeles and Bathurst. North York doesn't have a lot of bakeries, let alone outstanding ones, but this unpretentious, unassuming and rather homely little bakery is a real find. The pastries, pastry loaves and breads were all beautifully displayed and looked absolutely fresh and completely scrumptious. It's the kind of place where you wish you could walk in with a bucket of premium French vanilla ice cream, lock the door and start eating your way from one end of the store to the other! I bought two chocolate eclairs and a cinnamon danish from the lovely lady running the place. So very fresh and so very delicious. More...

I can't believe I'm the first to review this. This place is like a hidden gem in the area. They serve a variety of goods from pastry to bread to various goods pertaining to their country (umm not sure from where and don't want to give a wrong guess). I stop by their in the morning after a night shift to get my eclair fix. While there iv seen people order a loaf of bread, of which it gets sliced by a machine. They also have bagels and a variety of creams to add to it. You also get a variety of pastry prepared mainly for breakfast. Look at my pictures and check out the items they offer. Honestly their pies look good especially with those lattices! Have to try those 1 day. As I said earlier I usually get my eclair fix. They are the regular eclairs, nothing fancy like nugateau.  You get 2 versions: the original (which looks like a regular eclair) or the dressed up version (that had a chocolate drizzle with a different cream inside). I'v tried both...although the original I'd tasty, latter feels as there is more in it (like cream n a different type of cream - I could be wrong though). Staff is friendly and service can be slow if it gets really busy and depending on what you are ordering. But yes, I like the place and if you live in that hood, grab a pastry or a loaf of fresh bread. More...
