What inspired you to start your own business?
We began Purple Door Music Academy because we LOVE teaching music and wanted a studio that was dedicated to music literacy, fostering a love of music in our students, and flexible and adaptable to different styles of learning. We love what we've created and we know you will, too!
Why should our clients choose you?
Between the teachers of Purple Door Music Academy there are three graduate degrees, three bachelor degrees, and two college diplomas. We know our stuff! We are experts in our field and love working with students of all ages!

Voice lessons transfer easily to an online format. For piano lessons, students should have access to a keyboard or piano in their home for online lessons to work best.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We installed an air filtration system on the house with increased air exchange, HEPA filters, and UV lights. In every teaching studio, we have placed small air purifiers that all have HEPA filters and UV lights, as well as plexiglass dividers. Hand sanitizer stations have been included, and we have staggered our lesson times to ensure that there is no overlap between students at the entrance. Lastly, all teachers and students are required to wear masks, as per Alberta Health Services guidelines for workplaces.
Singing Lessons
We offer singing lessons for beginning students from age 5 and up through adult professionals. One of our outstanding teachers will be paired with you and we will make sure it is a perfect fit!
Piano Lessons
We offer piano lessons for beginning students from ages 5 and up through to upper level intermediate piano players. We have a dedicated piano studio with two pianos to allow the teacher to easily demonstrate and keep a safe distance from the students.
