Our experience with Parliament Contracting was extremely positive from their first visit, right through to the end of the project. Our semi-detached bungalow had old stucco on one side and along the back, and it was showing its age. We wanted to upgrade both the aesthetics and the performance of our home by installing vinyl siding over top of insulation and vapour protection. We had three companies come to provide us with quotes for this project, and Parliament stood out right away. Tyler was knowledgeable and courteous, and treated me with the same respect that he treated my husband. The representatives from the other two companies who visited us in our home directed most of their attention to my husband instead of speaking to us equally, and one of them even made several unwelcome comments during the quote process. Needless to say, between our very positive first impressions of Parliament, their excellent rating on HomeStars and their competitive price, it was an easy decision to choose them to complete the project.Liam and the rest of the team showed up promptly on the first day of the project, were very friendly and kindly agreed to accommodate some additional requests that we had, such as inspecting and sealing a piece of corner siding on the front of our house that we suspected wasn't completely water tight, and replacing a small piece of damaged siding on the front of the house. They got to work right away, and we left for work feeling that our house was in good hands. When we got home at the end of the day, we were impressed by how much progress they had made, and how good everything was looking. The team arrived promptly the second morning, and worked into the evening to get everything completed. They cleaned up the work site the next morning, and left it spotless.The Parliament team took a lot of care to do the job right, and paid attention to the details. We could tell that they took pride in their workmanship and that they wanted to meet and exceed our expectations. They brought in a plumber to extend our exterior water tap and took the initiative to move it to a more convenient location, they finished all the trim around doors, windows and fixtures very professionally, and they finished the top and bottom of the siding with care to prevent water infiltration from the roof and animal entry through the bottom. They replaced all of our old, mismatched vents with attractive modern ones, and even took the initiative to hide an electrical line under the siding (it had previously run along the exterior of the stucco and had always bothered me because it didn't look very good).As soon as the project was completed, one of our neighbours called us to compliment us on how fantastic our house looks now, and to tell us that she had watched the progress of the project from her window. She said that she had been quite impressed by how hard the Parliament team worked, and how well they worked together. We used Parliment Contracting to redo our roof last summer. We had several other quotes from other companies and their quote was very competitive. I noticed this company doing roofing on our street and was impressed by the quality of work being done so I needed my back roof of my split level done and gave them a call.

From the moment that I met Tyler at our house for a free estimate, I knew that his company was about customer service and quality work. Parliament Contracting completed the work at our Orleans house last October and I could not be more than satisfied with everything that Tyler and Liam have done. We required a roofing company following a major wind storm, as we lost quite a large patch of shingles. Unfortunately, it was set to rain before we could arrange for anyone to come by. In the meantime, we put some camping tarps down as a stop-gap solution, but once the rain started, we could see that the tarps weren't proving effective. Feeling stressed, we looked on Homestars and saw Parliament had positive ratings. They came the same day (in the rain) and put down a professional tarping system, to prevent any water damage. It was a huge relief to us. Though we wanted to redo the full roof, it wasn't in our budget. Liam and his crew later returned and replaced the missing shingles at no extra cost. Dealing with Parliament Roofing was a great experience. After reviewing 4 other roofing company offers, I picked Parliament Contracting. They were the most clear and detailed about what work had to be done. Tyler was a pleasure to work with. He took before and after pictures of the roof, had all the necessary documentation for insurance, "Working at Heights", product specifications and references.Parliament Contracting replaced my roof shingles and replaced the ridge vent with more efficient vents in September 2017. I waited 9 months instead of days to provide a review since a roof replacement job is only proven over the long term and not just days after it is done.The job itself was done in a day, and the Parliament team arrived on time and completed the job on time. Clean-up was so complete that you couldn't tell the roof was replaced. The new vents also made a difference. The roof is quiet during wind storms and the top floor stays cooler during hot days. They were very careful in protecting my deck and plants around the house when performing the job. They even fixed the roof on my garden shed as well !In May 2018, when visiting my neighbor, Parliament stopped by my home to fix some finishing shingles that blew off during a Mid-May wind storm.In short, I will use Parliament contracting with confidence for any future work on my home. Recently had our roof replaced by Parliament Contracting. We got quotes from a few companies before selecting them - and we are so glad we did! We were given two different price options based on types of shingles and never felt any pressure to choose the more expensive (or even to choose them when we were getting a quote). The crew that was at my house were friendly, polite and extremely hard working. They explained the whole process when we decided on a date (they were accommodating to our schedule) and let us know when the materials would arrive and the work would begin. After receiving several quotes from roofing companies, I decided to go with Parliament Contracting. Their quote was very reasonable, but I was most impressed with their customer service and friendliness which made choosing them an easy choice. The tornado ripped off a lot of shingles and pulled the siding away from the house, it was floating. They were able to source virtually the same Shingles and Aluminum siding, WOW!
Four very professional men arrived at 7:00 am, each of them greeted me by name and introduced themselves by name. Liam, Ryan, Josh and Travis, went right to work and two days later the finished job was great. They cleaned up the entire work area, no left over garbage. Tyler came out two days later and surveyed the workmanship by going onto the roof, inspecting the siding and ensuring the cleanup was complete.

The first meeting, **** (*********) actually went on roof to survey and take pictures which were emailed showing extent of roof repairs required and advised on materials to be used with a quote for all work. Clean-up very thorough, with all roofing debris removed including any roofing nails dropped on deck and surrounding grass areas. Both **** and ***** are very hands-on. They re-shingled our roof a the Spring of 2015 after it had started to leak. The previous owners of our house had it redone in 2001 but all they did was replace the top layer of shingles. Needless to say that a 25 year warrantee on those 2001 shingles was wasted. Parliament Contracting recommended to do it right and remove all 4 layers of old shingles before starting. We haven't had any problems since and several neighbours hired them to do their roofs.
I liked that Liam, as owner, was working on the roof with his guys. There is close supervision and they don't waste time. They were quiet, polite (no loud swearing which is often the norm with construction guys), and cleaned up everything before they left. He did say that he took several pictures and was to send me a file with them but I never got them.
Their price was fair and I hired them a second time to do the roof of a rental property I own. More...

1/ They replied promptly to our initial inquiry.
2/ Liam walked us through options for our project.
3/ Together with their quote, they provided a nice package that detailed not just the scope of the proposed work and material samples but also their credentials and information about past projects.
4/ They responded to e-mails within a reasonable period of time.
