There was a serious problem. The 150 to 200 foot high dead ash tree scheduled to be removed
had a severe crack in the trunk which was 3to 4 feet above ground level. Because of this the conventional method of topping the tree then cutting each section from the top to the bottom of the tree was not possible. This would have required the chainsaw operator to climb to a point close to the top of the tree then proceed cutting his way down. Due to the severe crack previously mentioned the tree would not support the operators weight.

Northshore personnel anchored the top of the ash tree to two adjacent trees using weighted string slings and then rigged top with heavy rope. A rope loop was attached to the base of the Ash tree.
The chainsaw operator then cut sections of the tree horizontally from the bottom up !!
As each section was cut the anchored tree was lowered and each section cut was pulled out horizontally.

The unprecedented conditions encountered and their resolution in solving them
when removing the rear yard Ash tree was one of the most amazing feats I have witnessed in my 51 years in the construction industry .

There is an old saying by contractors: “The difficult we can do the impossible only takes a little longer”

The professional method undertaken by the whole crew in not only removing the tree but cleaning up area and disposing of the tree was exceptional. Northshore truly embodies the word expert in their company banner.

The Northshore team came and removed 5 trees at our property this week. They did amazing work! They were punctual, professional, and quick.
It look less than 2 hours for all 5 trees to come down, and for the cleanup to be complete. When they left, you would never have known they were there, that's how great a cleanup job they did.

Northshore Tree Experts are awesome!! We have had Johnny out to look at a sick tree and he has provided us with an honest and clear assessment and recommendations which include waiting for a year or two – not pushing for the job to earn money now.
We have hired them twice to deliver and apply mulch to gardens with challenging locations. They have clearly communicated and confirmed dates, arrived on time and did excellent work. They ensured the gardens and the area around looked great including laying down plywood to protect the grass from their equipment and raking the grass afterwards.

In making a last minute decision to remove four maple trees, I was expecting to wait weeks for scheduling a crew to be able to come in. After reading the reviews on "Northshore Tree Experts," I dropped the idea of shopping around, and went with them. That week, an on-site quote was done, accepted, and with only one week to wait for the removals, it was the right decision. A crew came, set up "Men at work" road signs for and aft of the grinder, and without delay, went to work: one man on each tree. Although a blisteringly hot and windy day, they worked continuously. If you are looking for a cut-rate "guy with a chainsaw and a rope," this isn't it. Insured, properly geared with rope harness, knee pads, all tools laid out, and great communication skills between each, and myself - and the e mail/phone contact necessary, the work was done that afternoon. Branches were carried out to the grinder as soon as they were felled, trunks collected and stacked onto a second truck, the lawns and areas raked of all small branches and leaves, and a leaf blower was used to clean up wood particles and minutia. At one point, a strong gust ripped a peach tree from its tether. A worker ran over to tie it up again - it would have snapped in half and been lost, if not for that quick resolve! On April 11, 2022 I hired North Shore Tree Experts to remove two trees on the family’s cottage lot in Washago. Johnny Corner, the owner of the company and his assistant, Marty, arrived promptly at the appointed time. They reassessed the job to be undertaken before beginning to ensure all would go well. They were very accommodating in explaining to me their plan and answered all of my questions clearly.
They proceeded with the job in a well organized, conscientious, and professional manner always mindful of their own safety and concern for our property. The trees were taken down expertly with no issues. Johnny and Marty then cut the branches into shorter lengths suitable for burning in a fireplace and stacked the logs neatly in a convenient location. They then cleared the leftover debris and raked the ground to leave the property in a very neat condition. The thought, time, and effort that Johnny and Marty put into the job is admirable. Great guys who live up to their name of Tree Experts! I really enjoyed watching them work and highly recommend North Shore Tree Experts.
The fact that they are fully insured gave me great peace of mind. I am so thankful that I selected North Shore Tree Experts.
