What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
One of the most powerful, yet difficult, component to master in photography is capturing or creating emotion and feeling. Light is an extraordinary tool with a vast power to create emotions or moods in a photo. One of my greatest secrets is reading the light, its direction and its degree of diffusion. I always strived to master the light and its different qualities: brightness, contrast, intensity, all bringing their own emotions. As an example, if I have a photoshoot on a sunny day, I like to play with the shadows, because they add contrast, dimension, composition and bring my unique vision to life.
