If you are currently reading reviews to know if The Naughty Dogge is the right fit for you and your furr-baby; it definitely is. My German shepherd and I were in great need of guidance for many reasons; his fear of strangers and children. Shadow (my dog) is a kind soul who wants to please deeply his humans and doesn’t care much for strangers in his personal space. Fortunately, I met Hailey and she has helped us build a stronger bond and taught me how to be a better handler for my furry companion. German Shepherds are smart dogs in need of effective handling. Through our private lessons tailored by Hailey to our needs, Shadow has developed wonderful leash manners and we can now walk past strangers without him lunging away or towards them, he walks past children without fearing them. We’ve accomplished more than I ever thought possible within a few sessions and lots of homework so much so that I reached out to The Naughty Dogge again to help me after Shadow was attacked by a “finicky” dog in October. I even referred The Naughty Dogge to the owner of the culprit in the incident because that is how great the training offered is. I will be forever grateful to Hailey for the knowledge she gave me and confidence to handle my dog. I am pleased to share that our goals have been met. The team at Naughty Dogge is amazing; they are professional, knowledgeable and ethical. They have accommodated my shift work pattern and scheduled my private lessons around it. There's a reason why I drive 30 to 40 minutes to participate in Monique's class. I feel very fortunate to have discovered such a helpful instructor. The kid gloves come off when she teaches. I admit some things were hard to hear but I realize that the communication was clear and results were within my grasp when I was ready to listen. I've had 3 dogs participate in her classes, each with their own specific training needs. She taught me that there is no blanket way to train my dogs. Each of my dogs learn in different ways and needed different solutions to their training needs. Thanks to her help I have 3 dogs that I've managed to strengthen my bond with and discovered new ways to enjoy my time with. They are confident, happy and most importantly trained! I highly recommend her classes. Even after participating in her obedience classes I decided to continue my training in the dog sport class she offers on Wednesday night. 14 years ago I took my people aggressive mixed breed rescue to Monique ... it had been recommended by another trainer to have him euthanized. Thanks to Monique’s training techniques my dog lived safely and happily for 14 years. Monique gave me the skill set to train my other dog - dog aggressive Rottweiler cross - to be less fearful and relaxed around other dogs. I will be forever grateful for how she helped me turn my dogs around. I am so grateful that my vet insisted my dominant dog be trained under the guidance of Monique almost 10 years ago. He would not have survived 10 months in lesser hands. A balanced training approach was imperative. She treated my dog as a dog, and me with respect and compassion. Instructions were clear, logical and repeated as often as it took for a new dog owner to get it right. Not only did she save his life, but taught him to relax and be joyful in his life. Her experience is vast and varied, and she has been successful personally and professionally with a wide variety of dog from powerful guarding breeds like German shepherds, quirky herding breeds like border collies, toy and companion breeds such as Italian greyhounds, and rescue mutts from all over the world. After 5 individual sessions with Hayley from Naughty Dogge, the transformation in our 6 year old rescue dog has been amazing. She went from a fearful, often reactive dog to a happy, 'eager to go for walks' canine companion. Abby is no longer upset at being crated thanks to a great training tip from Hayley and walks with her tail wagging and a jaunt in her step! We met Monique when we were fostering a fearful, unsocialized pit bull mix for a local rescue. Monique went above and beyond in helping us rehabilitate her and teach her the world is a safe and fun place. We "failed fostering" this dog and continue to see Monique weekly for ongoing socialization and training We have also brought other fosters. Of ours to her with various issues, and under Monique's guidance have successful found them all loving forever homes! She tells you straight what's going on and what needs to change. I have been doing an apprenticeship program under Monique for quite a few months now and I cannot speak highly enough of her. She welcomed my rescue dog and I with open arms and has been a wealth of knowledge.She's patient, honest and succeeds in bringing out the best in every dog that walks through her doors, seeing their weaknesses and enhancing their strengths. Dynamic Dogs
I found Monique through the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors. I was somewhat familiar with her, at least by name, from her involvement in CKC obedience, her accomplishments with different breeds, and competing at Crufts. Monique has a lot of accomplishments, and of course a lot of experience. She teaches other trainers. So I knew she could help me with some problem solving on behavior with an older Shepherd, who I felt was too set in her ways. Her advice and guidance was really spot-on, and she was thorough in her questions and got to the root of the problem. I highly recommend the Naughty Doggie and Monique, I am looking out for more seminars, and I look forward to utilizing her knowledge in the future. You are lucky if you're closer to the area and able to come to the classes on a regular basis, especially for competition obedience with my dogs... I wish I could attend all of them. More...
