Mitigoog is an Ojibwe word that means “tree” and my services are centred on finding solutions for our natural resource. We provide affordable services ranging from tree care, removals, pruning and chain saw training certification. Our services are backed by education , experience, and exponential solutions, as well as 5 years of arboriculture experience and certification as a certified forest technician.

He went above and beyond by repairing my eaves attachments while here..sent pics of before and after..all this for a very fair price. What do you love most about your job?
Working outside, with my hands and helping the environment in anyway possible. Trees play a huge role in our economy, our health, and the beauty of Canada.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was motivated to launch my own company by a variety of things. The first opportunity I had was to train youth through forestry activities in Northern First Nation communities. In Thunder Bay at the time, I was also employed as an arborist. More time was needed for my training and involvement with First Nation youth. Second, I still desired to work in the field of arboriculture, which I love. Here is where I launched my company and thought of the name Mitigoog Solutions.

My rate are affordable compared to competitive companies in Thunder Bay and Northern Ontario. Many people can’t afford expensive tree services or eave trough cleaning or chain saw training. Offering affordable rates geared to the services needed will benefit the client, the property, the environment and Mitigoog Solutions.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
6 feet distance at all times. Crews can work on the property without contacting client directly. Masks and sanitization methods are used during training sessions.
Tree Care
This service includes pruning, thinning, clearance, disease identification, and bracing.
Tree Removal
This service includes removal of hazardous trees, large limbs, and lot clearance.
Eaves Trough Cleaning
Removal of leaves or debris from eaves trough to clear the drainage system and prevent further damage to the home.
Chainsaw Safety Training Certification
The course involves properly maintaining a chainsaw, safe operation, felling and notching and hazards associated with chain saw operations. The certification is OSHA and CSA compliant. All trainees will also be able to keep all new P.P.E that is used during the training course.
