Excellent service, our next door neighbour is having their roof reshingled. Their house is very close to ours and I was concerned about nails falling on our laneway. They placed tarps and swept up for nails afterwards . Very professional and I would highly recommend them . They were quiet, no blasting music, no swearing. I was very blown away by this company. Our roof is done and it’s beautiful but the story is even better. I don’t always go with the lowest quote because sometimes you get what you pay for. However,Magnum Roofing came highly recommended and I was impressed by Steve the owner. The guys were great, very respectful, worked hard, cleaned up after themselves and spoke highly of their boss. Today, they sent a guy to inspect the job. He found ONE shingle that is not straight and it will be replaced tomorrow. OMG! Talk about a great team. I called the owner of Magnum requesting an estimate. He actually went up on the roof and examined it. He expressed concern with my current ventilation and proposed a solution of cutting an extra vent hole during instalation. He was priced competitively but it was worth it knowing I was getting grade A materials installed properly! He was also much cheaper than some of the other "big names ". I am very satisfied with my decision as he was very friendly along with the whole crew. The ripped off the old roof, installed the new roof and cleaned up all garbage even completely cleaning my gutters (leaves and all). I alsohave piece of mind knowing I am fully covered with my free 50 year warranty.

Our large bungalow in Dunrobin (Ottawa) along with a separate pool shed was in dire need of new shingles. We contacted Magnum Roofing along with several other respected roofing firms in the Ottawa area for a detailed quote. Steve got right back to us and did a detailed estimate based upon actual measurements up on the roof (as opposed to others who use Google satellite views to do their estimates). Magnum was nowhere near the most expensive quote nor were they the cheapest either (but not by much). Steve was happy to answer all my questions about shingles, pricing, options, availability, etc. We elected to use the GAF Roofing system choosing the Timberline HD (Pewter Grey) shingles. One of the subtle deciding factors for us to use Magnum was their advertised dedication to assisting Christie Lake Kids Camp, a charity very close to our hearts. “Magnum Roofing supports Christie Lake Kids in the form of both financial donations and by providing roofing work to their facilities at no charge.” Nice to see a firm giving back to the community.A couple of the crew arrived the evening before the job was to start to place the dump trailer in position and begin to get setup. In this way the early 7:00am start would not involve noisy trucks, etc potentially bothering us or neighbors. The crew of 7 showed up at exactly 7:00am and got right to it. Our roof was completed in just over 1 ½ days (183 bundles so a large job by any measure) just as Steve had predicted. Not a single complaint was heard of the heat, the bugs, the heavy bundles of shingles or any other condition the crew faced. There was no excessive use of profanities, loud radios, etc so common in these industries. All of the crew parked on the street so as not to block our driveway for us. In short a very courteous bunch of talented guys.Upon completion the entire crew meticulously walked the perimeter scouring the ground for any nails, bits of shingle, plastic or other debris. Our evestroughs were all cleaned out, the shingle courses were dead straight, the vents were all installed correctly and drip edge was installed. The entire GAF system of waterproof membrane, deck protection, starter shingles, ridge caps, etc was used and installed per GAF specification.Would I recommend Magnum Roofing to a friend? You bet I would. They absolutely scored a 10 out of 10 in every aspect of the job (and I’m a pretty picky guy). Every one of the crew knew their role and operated as a coordinated, well oiled machine. We had onsite visits both days by lead job foreman Dave to ensure all was well and that expectations were being met.Admittedly having a roof shingled isn’t the most glamorous way to spend your hard earned money but it is certainly a great sense of security to know it’s been done right and should be trouble free for many years to come. My wife and decided to have our roof repaired as it was over 20 years old.
One of her work colleagues had their roof repaired by Magnum Roofing therefore the work was by referral. The Magnum Team was prompt starting the job although there was a bad weather delay.
They brought the new roofing material complete with the flashing and vents on the bad weather day - no time lost.
The original roofing and venting was removed and carted away. At the same time Magnum swept the surrounding lawn for nails and debris.
Very thorough.3 work days passed (large roof!) and the job was complete.
Professional, courteous and respectful of the property - a job well done.One of the Team detailed to us was was done and what was left to do (a single flash piece).
This piece was installed 1 day later.

Steve is one of the best contractors I have ever dealt with over my years in residential and commercial projects. Magnum completed the roof on my rental property in 2014 and my residence in 2015. Both jobs were completed when Steve committed with no surprises cost wise even though some unforeseen issues arose. I have recommended Magnum Roofing to several neighbours and all have been very satisfied. I have not heard one negative comment.Steve and I have different opinions on venting (ridge versus Maxi chimney). Steve explains the technicalities very logically but willingly accepts the Customer's decisions as long as they don't don't comprise the quality of the job.Magnum is doing a roof for a good friend of mine today. She obtained several competitive quotes and opinions on material alternatives. I reside outside the Ottawa area however have a rental there which needed a new roof. I contacted Steve and he gave me the best quote and the best warranty and made the whole process seamless. I contacted Steve at Magnum roofing for a quote and he immediately set up a date a time to come out, The day before he was to arrive he called me and advised me that he had an emergency come up and was not going to be able to make it at our set time. He asked if he could come out right away and gave me a time. He arrived on time. He was the only one out of the four roofing companies, I had requested a quote from, that actually got up on my roof and inspected it. Magnum's quote was $600.00 less than another company that were going to shingle with the same brand of shingles. The crew that was sent out to do the job were extremely professional. The job was completed in two days. The crew cleaned up after themselves both days. One of Steve's sons came out at the completion of the job and inspected both the shingling job as well as the clean up done by their crew. Fours days later I got a call from Steve inquiring if I was satisfied with the work done and if there were any outstanding issues. This was a stress free experience with this company. Having used this company previously, I was quick to call Steve! He assessed the roof, set a very reasonable price, and followed through with all that he said he would do. An excellent job! His team quickly removed the old metal, replaced it with shingles, and took the time to do the job right. Flashings were upgraded to the standards that were needed. I contacted 5 top roofing companies for a quote. Despite that September is a very busy month for them, Steve from Magnum roofing was the only one who came the next day and went up on the roof. He immediately gave me a quote and telling me that he can send his small team ( Alex and Patrick ) in about 2 weeks to do the job. Magnum’s quote was less than the other companies who were going to do the same job using same brand of singles but less maxi vents. Also, communication with Steve (the owner of the company) was very easy and very straight forward.Alex and Patrick were very professionals. They always came on time, providing an excellent job and always clean after themselves. The job took a day longer due to very high temperature. Although they couldn’t work, Alex came in that morning explaining me that they have to postpone the work for a day because the singles could be damaged if they step on them when it is very hot outside.
I wasn’t in rush so I prefer a good work than a fast work. Very happy with them.Definitely, I strongly recommend Magnum Roofing!!!! A+++ More...

I would highly recommend Magnum roofing for your next roof.
I got quotes from lots of companies and Magnum was competitive with the others. So why did I choose Magnum, because his information package was complete with all the information I needed to feel confident that the product they would use would be the best. I had an asphalt shingle roof that like many people out there, only lasted 10 years of the 25 it was supposed to. I researched Metal, Aluminum and rubber roofing at the home show, but was not convinced. Magnum offered Timberline by Gaf. So I compared all the quotes that were using GAF, and Magnum again came out on top for confidence that I was going to get the job they promised. Now that the job is done, and it looks FANTASTIC I might add, Gaf is the first company that has ever sent me my registration of the warranty. I didn't have to send anything. Maybe that was Magnum again doing a good job. Either way, you won't go wrong putting your trust in this company and choosing them to do your next roof. Confidence is what i needed.
