Rita and her partner, Leo, were the photographers for our wedding. After 2 months we got our photos back, unedited. She claims to have edited them, however, the photos we got were crooked, overexposed, and flat.
When I contacted her regarding this she immediately began to insult the fit of my dress (which was custom made), the weather (which I didn't ever blame her for), and my overall wedding. I had to change my wedding plans due to pandemic issues, all we wanted were good photos to share with our family who couldn't be there, we didn't get this.
I had a surprise surgery 2 weeks before my wedding, but I was determined to go through with my big day. Our coverage (as per our contract) was 4-6, she showed up at 3:45 and is now claiming that I was 45 minutes late. I got to the venue at 4:30 due to underestimating how much my mobility issues would hinder my timing to get ready. I called her to apologize when I was running late and told her my partner was there and asked if she could start out by taking pictures of the boys. In the contract she had asked for my number, my partner's number, and the phone number of 4 people that would be there. We had 3 people so I gave her their numbers. While I was rushing to try to get there as fast as possible, she started calling me telling me she couldn't find them, rather than just calling them since she had all 3 of their numbers.
It was windy on our day, I had a backup location, but Rita and Leo said they wanted to see if it would get better here first because they liked the mountains in the background. I eventually convinced them to go back with us to the hotel we were staying at for some indoor photos, as it's a very vintage looking mountain villa - it's called Creekside Villa, Rita has referred to it as a motel.
I asked for the RAW files so I could fix things like the levels (because they're over exposed), straighten them appropriately, etc. She has come back saying it's my fault that I'm overweight and that I had a broken foot. In my google review I mentioned the QUALITY of the images taken, not the content, and she made a document defending herself by saying that my dress was too sizes too small (my dress kept opening in the back as a result of the pull of my crutches), that it's not her job to remove my double chin. She made my disappointment in the fact that the photos were not well taken or edited properly into a personal attack on how I looked. I uploaded photos from my wedding on my google review to highlight the unflattering angles, the need for straightening, and the small file sizes I got from her - she uploaded the photos on google drive and they were 2-5 MB, that's not a big file size, and makes it near impossible to edit.
I've used ONE of her photos that I went over with an editing software to fix what I could, and even now, I'm embarrassed to use it. She made me feel ugly on what is supposed to be the day I feel most beautiful.
I hope someone has read this through and I've saved someone else's big day as I look back on my wedding and cry because I let Rita take over and make my day about her.
Regardless of her personal issues and unwillingness to admit to poor image quality, she should NEVER attack a person regarding how they look as a way to defer blame from herself.

Tragic photos and hostile communication.
The resulting pictures were flat, uninspiring, poorly posed, had no depth of field, and were shot from unflattering angles.
The "assistant", Rita, showed pictures on her phone to try to direct the wedding party as to how to stand though said assistant failed to tell the bride that the back of her dress had come undone.
When we contacted with our concerns, we were told that they had fulfilled their end of the deal and they owed us nothing more. When we tried again, they became hostile.
Our only request initially was either for them to try again with editing (desperate plea since we could not retake the photos) or send us a few of the RAW images to develop correctly ourselves.
Unfortunately, after the fact, I took a better look at their other images and found that it wasn't just a bad day. Most of their images are flat and boring at the best, and poorly edited at the worst. Post-production: dropped in skies show a distinct halo surrounding the foreground and sun/haze filter drop-ins are from the wrong angles and overused.
Unfortunately, we are now likely to file with Small Claims Court.
If you are looking for professional, flattering, and timeless photos that you would be proud to show to your friends and family, KEEP LOOKING ELSEWHERE.
My daughter's wedding plans had to be changed to include only two witnesses due to the pandemic. Taryn's largest financial outlay was on a photographer so that she could create a memorable wedding album that she was planning to travel with once the pandemic restrictions have lifted. We, her family and friends, have only those photos to see how happy and beautiful she was on her wedding day. Taryn is sad. Rita, in response to our initial concerns, became hostile, turned it around on Taryn to make her feel that she was to blame that she was not beautiful, on her wedding day. She told Taryn that her hair was poorly done and that her dress did not fit her. Who does that to a bride?
I had sent one email to Rita, to which she did not respond, asking her to please send me some of the RAW images (I had chosen about a dozen that I could work with) so that I could try to save the situation.
She told Taryn that she would not respond to me and that she would only deal with Taryn or a Legal Representative. Rita is the one who initiated the escalation.
We have reviewed the pictures over and again and summarize that they possibly accidentally shot in JPG instead of RAW. This may have been why they were unable to appropriately develop the pictures and instead chose to drop filters and overlays to increase the file size. Either way, this would have all been saved had they truly believed in the magic of a bride's wedding.

I was looking around for a professional photographer with affordable prices for our newborn baby and I found Lucid Photography! As a new client, I didn’t know what to expect. We only had 30 minutes of session time and we arrived 10 minutes late, but Rita, who is the owner was very patient with us getting us into a plan before the session had started and managed to get a numerous amount of photos in 20 minutes! She is very well organized and her studio has the right temperature for newborn babies. Her studio is beautifully set up with gorgeous backgrounds and is fully stocked up with props and outfits to choose from. Her studio is well stocked with many different props and options for colour schemes.
