Larry has catapulted forward my knowledge of guitar playing and music very quickly. I was stuck, trying to learn on my own with Youtube videos, but I couldn’t quite find the answers to my questions. I decided to start playing the guitar again after about a 40 year “pause”. Larry was recommended by a good friend and I am so happy we were able to connect. Beyond being a talented musician in his own right, Larry is an excellent instructor. He has a knack for understanding what a student wants to learn and tailors each lesson to meet these needs.

I only played strum-along folk music many years ago with no theory or formal instruction so I had no clue what I really wanted to learn. Larry was able to try folk, blues, finger style, and jazz before focusing mostly on jazz because he could tell that was best for me at this point in time. That’s a real skill!

He has also been great in helping me choose a number of new guitars.
