My apologies to you Mrs. Dodd. Since our 2nd meeting at your home on Sept 26th, its not quite a full month but close to your point. I'm sorry we couldn't get to the finish line from a what I perceived to be a great start. As you stated I presented to you how your side exiting patio door onto steps could be redesigned with a proposed landing to enter the rear paved yard. We agreed it was a good idea. Time spent on an idea/plan at no cost to you. To my recolection there was a brief conversation around me being out of the country from Oct 7th to 21st. Not to place blame, however, you aslo could have called for clarification. It was my understanding that we would set a time when convenient to meet at a supplier(s) for choosing new paving stones ( size, colour, pattern) then to plan the work which would be done in early spring. All suppliers have large displays and a vast variety of stone to chose from which I could not possibly bring to you. As I stated to you, when I called you...a design was not needed as very little would change once old pavers removed, except the idea of adding fire place which was still an open discussion which you didnt want but your daughter wanted. Nevertheless, your remarks are slightly disparaging to me which came as a surprise. I am someone who prides himself on details of any project. Another, is the honesty and openness I have with clients. As was the same sitting at your table. Once again, my apologies for the miscommunication. I am sure I will make adjustments going forward.
