Our experience working with Julie was incredible from beginning to end. Her skill and artistic style grabbed our attention immediately, and we just couldn't wait to meet her. In our first meeting Julie made us comfortable, gave us honest advice about what to look for in a wedding photographer, and candidly answered our questions. We agreed we had found our photographer in the 20 seconds it took to walk back to the car! At our engagement photo shoot Julie worked creatively with the location we chose, gave us clear and friendly direction to capture a variety of great shots, and facilitated us giving our own input. That photoshoot answered any questions we had about what it would be like to work together and let us know exactly what to expect on our wedding day - a fun and stress free experience! On our wedding day Julie and her colleague Laurie arrived on time, blended seamlessly into our wedding party, led us through a series of locations, and captured some incredible photos that we can’t wait to show to our friends and family. We hired Julie to provide professional photography services for our June 2019 wedding in downtown Kitchener. Prior to signing on, my partner and I were able to have a great in-person interview with Julie to ensure that she was the right vendor for us. It was relaxed and obligation-free; she clearly defined her services and offered helpful suggestions about the type and level of service that would suit us best, based on our needs for the day and wedding vision.Following booking, Julie was extremely responsive to my correspondence and really listened to my preferences and feedback. We had a wonderful engagement session in which we got to know one another better and learn to feel more comfortable in front of the camera. She is very knowledgeable about event resources and services throughout the region which is very helpful during your planning process; and she’s worked events at a huge variety of venues. Julie also has a very positive and respected professional relationship with vendors and venues which really shines through on your event day. Other vendors are excited to have their work photographed by Julie!Something in particular that we really appreciated is her creativity in composing and sourcing different visual backdrops in the same venue. A venue space can only offer so much in terms of its setting and lighting conditions. Julie can view a venue with multiple perspectives and really take advantage of every architectural and natural element of a space. Coupled with her having the right equipment and her amazing technical knowledge, she offers so much variation to a photo shoot. One location can be made to look like several different environments. It might get overlooked during the planning process, but this skill is so important when time on the wedding day is limited and lighting conditions may not be the best. And, you’ll appreciate this variety when you go to use your gorgeous prints for home décor, stationery, etc.For both our engagement shoot and the wedding day photography, Julie more than fulfilled her responsibilities of our contract and timeline for delivering our completed photography package to us. I have only amazing things to say about Julie. If you've taken even a second to look at some of her work you already know her pictures are absolutely stunning. What you might not know is that she will go above and beyond for her clients. I not kidding! She even helped kept my speeches running on time and getting people organized, shes amazing. Not only that she is so fun and outgoing which just makes taking pictures with her fun and easy. If you are looking for someone who has an amazing personality, becomes best friends with your entire family, helps fix hair and makeup, takes AMAZING pictures and literally help you fix your wedding dress (she went into multiple layers of tulle to fix it), then run, don't walk to book Julie. We had a fine art photography session for my 9-year old daughter, and Julie knocked it out of the park. I had boudoir photos done with Julie, and I have never felt so comfortable in front of the camera! She offers a professional and comfortable experience and knows exactly what needs to be done to get you the best photos for you to cherish for years to come! I feel so lucky to have found Julie for my maternity shoot. I went there not really knowing what to expect, and Julie had a beautiful venue for the shoot, and many maternity gowns, and props to choose from. I truly can't say enough about how amazing Julie was in capturing our wedding. She fit us into her summer schedule with only a few weeks notice, she was the woman of all hats and made our day so incredibly special. Julie did a fantastic, over the top job on my hair. She took the ideas I had and recreated them into something spectacular and I couldn't have been happier. She totally wowed me and made me feel so beautiful. She also did an awesome job on my makeup and then after all of that, she did an absolutely fantastic job on capturing our ceremony, the emotions, our families and an incredible wedding session. Julie from the moment I met her to the moment she left our reception was amazing. She was fun, upbeat, comfortable to be around but also was serious and knew how to get her job done and get it done great! When my hair and make up wasn't so pretty (after pictures in the rain) she freshened me right up in 5 minutes! She was always easy to get ahold of and would message back pretty quickly before our wedding day. But now that we have our photos and our fully edited photos back I am SO thrilled. The photos are captial A - mazing!!! She went above and beyond with some of the photos having multiple editing styles. And for those of you who don't know our wedding day weather was horrible. I did a princess tea party photo shoot with Julie and it was incredible!! She was so good with my 3 year old daughter and got stellar shots!
