I can't share enough good things about my work with Jamie! I'm an introvert, so I wanted someone I could immediately feel comfortable with, and who could help me open up, goof around and figure out how to pose for a photograph -- all of which Jamie did. She also helped me get clearer on my brand and brand story and how I want to visually represent my business (which I suck at). She looked through my website and social media and asked for what specifically I needed images - something that no other photographer had done before and I found immensely helpful. I was very happy with the images she produced and feel I got great value. If it was possible to give more than 5 stars, I would. Jamie is an excellent photographer, taking time to get the right shot and giving direction on how to present the best aspects of your exterior self. She was patient and kept me engaged through the whole session. I was provided pictures that I have used professionally and personally, and I love the compliments I get from using her photos of me online. As awkward as it can be to have your portrait taken and smile for an hour, she made it easy by rearranging my poses, going through different facial exercises, and encouraging different placements for my hands, face and body. As a plus-sized woman, getting my picture taken is not my favourite thing to do, but Jamie was able to make me feel beautiful in the skin I am in while I was in front of the camera. And the pictures she took of me are ones that make me feel that I look beautiful every time I look at them.Her pricing is more than reasonable for the time she spends making sure everything is perfect, both during the session and in post-production. Jamie did an amazing job with taking my photos! This was my first time taking pictures professionally so I felt extra nervous and awkward but Jamie was great at making me feel more at ease and capturing natural shots. She is very thorough and ensures that she knows what concept or theme you would like your pictures to have (and if not, she has some good ideas too!). I was feeling a bit self conscious about getting head shots but Jamie made me feel comfortable right away and was very down to earth. When we took the photos we walked around a nice area and had great conversation which made me feel at ease and more natural. She had told me the timeline to get the photos and sent a sample just a few days later, and the whole package after that well within the timeline she had told me. Jamie came and did a day in the life session with my son and I (he's a very wild 3.5 year old!) As a photographer myself I am rarely in any photos, so this session means the world to me. I wanted to capture my son and I as we are on our lazy days at home together. We felt comfortable to be messy, in our jammies, having meltdowns, reading stories, dancing (in our jammies till!) and just being who we were. What comes to mind when i think about Jamie? Talented, professional, nurturing, understanding are a few words that come to mind. Since my first session with Jamie, it was easy to do. I get like a deer in headlights sometimes when it comes to cameras, yet Jamie was always able to make me feel comfortable and coerce my smiles out.Doing my professional head shots with her was no different. She brought everything necessary to make a quality shot, from proper lightning equipment to things for me to sit on that wouldnt be seen on camera (as some of the surfaces were moist from a morning rain). Immediately after I finished my pictures she followed up to confirm i was happy with the session, and not even 24 hours later i had my first look at my photos. I was pleased by the quality AND the speed at which she was able to perform.As you can tell, I'm an advocate for Jamie.
