About

Hello, I'm Jeffrey!

As a kid I was a pretty avid hobbyist photographer. When travelling around Canada with my family, primarily my Grandmother, I would fill up those Kodak disposable cameras and always asked for more. In my adolescence photography fell away and my interests had shifted, but it was always there in some capacity.

Q&As

Attention to detail.

Is there something in the background? Is there a distraction of light or colour that pulls focus away from a subject? Is there an opportunity to frame this image using something in the environment? Is there anything in the image that adds or detracts from the story we want to tell?

I would ask what they hope to achieve with the project, their intention behind it.
Who's your target audience? Do you want to increase awareness? Do you want to sell more of a specific item? Do you want this project to help develop your brand?

I would ask what the usage of the imagery would be.
Is this for Social Media only? Is this for Advertisement space within a magazine? Is this going to be used for Facebook or Instagram ads? Only used on your website?

How long would a licence be required?
Most brands only use images for a year or two if they are for marketing purposes, depending on the usages. If there is a new ad campaign created, the old images are probably out dated and will need to be replaced. For that reason, most licences will include a time frame for the usage.

What I love most is working with brands and people who are on a journey of business, entrepreneurship and/or self development. When I meet people, we can usually connect on experiences that we've had in life related to our businesses or personal development. I enjoy conversations like that.

Working a full-time job inspired me to start my own business.

While working full-time, I realized I was not where I wanted to be and I wasn't doing what I wanted to do. It was at this time that I decided I would say yes to opportunities in my life. I had no idea where this would take me, and I didn't know what would happen in my life, but this decision has led me to be able to travel the world and start my own business in a passionate creative pursuit, photography.

I have worked with a wide variety of clients in my photography career. This has afforded me a lot of unique experience and skill development. This, along with the attention to detail and professionalism I had developed during my time in the military, position me to be confident in my ability to proficiently capture and create quality imagery for my clients. Please take a look at my website to see for yourself.
