I contacted Jaam Renovations in the spring of 2023 for a quote on having our powder room and front foyer tiled in ceramic.
Marvin responded quickly, gave us a great quote and we hired him for the job. He was extremely professional, polite and did an amazing job with our flooring. He also removed and reinstalled the toilet, vanity, baseboards and closet doors.
We recently contacted him with a plumbing issue we were having, he responded right away. He came out and the issue was fixed in a very short time. It was great to see him again!
I would highly recommend Marvin and his company Jaam renovations.

Stone or Tile Flooring Installation
Our review begins with Marvin, the floorer (who would receive 4/5 stars) and Marvin the contractor (0 stars.)
We hired Marvin to retile our kitchen floor.
He gave us a quote, starting date, and completion date, and honoured all three. The work was done to our satisfaction.
As a result, we decided to offer the renovation of our bathroom, as he had mentioned that he was also a contractor and had experience with such jobs.
The length of time for the project was very significant for us as we live in a condo with only one bathroom/shower. Marvin said that the job will be completed in 6 days. We stayed in a nearby hotel for 6 days but when we returned home the toilet was only installed and connected one week later, the shower was operational only after 6 weeks, and the full work was completed after 2 months.
With the exception of the professional who installed the glass shower, none of the other professionals – plumbers, electricians, etc. – showed up on the day or time scheduled. The marble into which the new sink was installed was ordered in the wrong colour resulting in our having to purchase a new sink (different than the original as it was no longer available) and this resulted in our not having a sink for a further 2 weeks.
During the course of 6-7 weeks we were constantly “on -hold” waiting for workers who never showed up when scheduled , greatly affecting both our professional and family routines as we had no idea when someone might show up.
At the same time, we would add that despite all this disorganization and disruption of our lives, it was important to Marvin that we be satisfied with the quality of the work and when we pointed things out, he made sure to repair them himself or send someone else to do so without argument.

Marvin from JAAM Renovations was extremely competitive in terms of price and went above and beyond to make sure our house that we just moved into looks brand new.
We hired him last minute just 2 days before moving in and he came in to start work in the evening of the same day that I called him. He stayed late at night to get the job done to have our entire house painted in a matter of a day. I did not have to worry about looking over his work.
