We used this company to paint our wall. They were extremely unprofessional. Mr. Ussner hired extra help and left them to fend for themselves without any guidance. They did not cover any baseboards, they only fixed the walls where we indicated that we wanted fixed (they were to fill all holes - this did not happen, as well as small cracks etc.) We had to ask them to clean up and it still was not done when they left. He came in the evening to check the work before final payment and did not listen to any of our concern as to the quality of the workmanship. From a glance, the walls look fine, but there so many mistakes when you look closely. I will say that Joanne and the other regular painter (i forget his name) was able to cut in very nicely but when they came to fix the walls, Joanna painted the walls from side to side and up and down and you can see this in the final product. The owner also told my husband off during a phone call. NEVER would we use this company again or recommend them. Lastly, he did not even make an effort to fix some of the errors his employees made, he just wanted to keep sending in the same employee that made the errors. (FYI, she was in training ..and he trained her over the phone and in person the night they both came to inspect). More...

If you are looking for a company who delivers what they promise this is it. I do have to mention that they are on the higher end of pricing, but if you are OCD like me and need precision, this is the company for you. We had a mutual miscommunication which was quickly remedied by Jimka, the owner. I had my entire 2 bed 2 bath apartment painted (ceilings, walls, doors and trim, baseboards and I had drywall repairs). All of the work was done in 5 days, Mon-Fri, and I was able to contact Jimka for updates or concerns as the job was in the process and he addressed all of my concerns. I needed dry wall repairs for a big imperfection in one of my bedroom walls and for a hole in the living room to get filled, both have been addressed. Ugly popcorn ceiling--gone! The mudding is impeccable and after the team painted the unit, it looks so smooth. If you have ever tried mudding yourself, you know it is not easy to make large areas even and smooth so you will appreciate the painting and mudding skill of this team.

I am very pleased with results and so happy with colors! It took me awhile to decide on a company to do the job, but I made a right decision 100%. I have never chose colors, don't know anything about textures and ect. Jimka arrived on time to inspect the place in person and discuss my ideas and provided some professional points regarding choosing textures and colors. Jimka's crew, Alexander and Joanna arrived promptly everyday, painted my 884sqf condo beautifully, were kind to my 5 year old daughter, informed me regarding care of freshly painted walls and did a great clean up after. Jimka did a great job on the "spot treatment" touch up paint job to my downtown Vancouver apartment. I had several scuff marks and patched spots that needed painted over before handing the keys back to the landlord that I did not have time to see to it myself. I used the Yelp quotes feature to get quotes from several local painters. Fortunately Jimka offered a reasonable minimum price and was available. I found Jimka very easy to communicate with (via Yelp) as we set up the time to meet. He purchased the paint that I specified and brought all the necessary equipment which made my job as simple as pointing out the places that needed to be touched up. In the end, the place looked great, and, importantly, I'm sure I won't be losing any of my deposit! Using Jimka to do the job was totally worth it. We were very pleased with the finished work on our showroom by J Ussner Painting. I brought Jimka in to fix the first paint job done by another painting contractor who got the wrong paint but we did not catch it until our bright white furniture and displays arrived. That's when we noticed our walls had a greening-yellowish tinted white, it was a disaster but after calling in Jimka's he helped us choose the correct tint of white and finish type. I am so happy we found Jimka with J Ussner Painting and Finishing on the BBB website. In fact, Jimka responded to me so quickly through the BBB link, that initially, I thought it was an auto response, but it was Jimka! 😃 He arrived, in person and "on time" for our preliminary quote. Sent us a detailed quote via email, same morning. Was able schedule our job into their busy schedule within a few days so that our painting would be done before our move in date. Damon, who did the painting, showed up "on time" to start the job, and he worked tirelessly to get the job done sooner than we expected. The quality of the work is outstanding!
