We had a wonderful experience back in February before Covid and our family was really looking forward in going back this place. We reserved in February for 400 per night and when we went to pre check in out nightly rate went to 700. Very sad that a rural community resort is now trying to rip people off post COVID. More...

We flew in from Burlington. We’re at least hoping fir waterfront patio but it was not offered r even present. Lettuce was brown, burger beef over cooked but steak was good. Elmhirst is a magical place! The cottages are clean, spacious and beautiful. The grounds are beautifully maintained and gorgeous! A nature lovers heaven. There is a welcoming homely feeling every where. From Samantha at the front desk and Jules at the spa who were both so sweet. Al up at the barn was a joy to meet and went out of his way to introduce us to the resorts beautiful horses and cows. Cooking class with Chef Jeff was fun, educational and delicious. Chef Nazem and the servers at dinner were smiling, so kind and gave us excellent service. Any and all food restrictions were accommodated so well, no one felt left out or left hungry. The Sunday brunch is legendary!!! Caroline, Martina and Catharine are amazing at everything they do! Words cannot express how kind, friendly, warm, helpful and just special special people with wonderful spirits. The extraordinary staff, Spa facilities and amenities made this weekend get away a trip I will never forget. In 2 short days they welcomed us into their community and uplifted my life! More...

We spent three days of our honeymoon here to relax and unwind between our trips to Toronto, Vancouver and Whistler. Martina, Greg, Wilma, Katie and all the others are doing an awesome job! The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful at any time. Food was great, most of the products come from their own farm or are grown and produced locally. Chef Jay gave us an amazing evening, while we were having dinner at the Hearthside Room and every morning just started off right with Alex and the great breakfast. The team of the Pub did a great job in drinks and food, too. I had an extremely relaxing facial that was done by Jewel. Make sure to visit the spa when you're in the area.
