Just wanted to take a moment to write a quick review of my recent experience with a recent electrical issue, for which I feel fortunate that I was able to connect with Solutions Electrical.

I had been having an issue with one of the breakers in my panel and after calling Solutions electrical I was able to co-ordinate a day and an exact time at which I could expect an electrician to show up. Additionally I was provided all details related to potential costs including requisition of a small deposit on the job – I gather sadly needed from experiences of people booking service and then not being around for the service call. I was additionally provided with details of the hourly labour charge should the 2 hour minimum charge not cover the repair.Long story short, two very efficient young lads showed up on time and the one lad who actually diagnosed and resolved the issue was professional, efficient and also very willing to answer questions that I had about the panel. A quick switch out of the impacted breaker in addition to cutting back some of the wire in the panel and all was done well under an hour, though I by no means felt that I was being rushed to have the job finished. Each and every person that I dealt with at Solutions Electrical was friendly, professional and very respectable and I would not hesitate to either recommend them or reach out by phone to call them again for any electrical services that I might need in the future.Also wanted to personally thank Sue in accounting, my interactions with her to finally make payment on my invoice provisioned me with a great sense of how ethical Solutions Electrical is, which for me is key to everything.

Exterior outlet wasn't working and I thought it needed replacing. It was discovered that the outlet in garage had tripped so just needed resetting. I had no idea that the garage outlet was connected to the one in the patio. I instructed the electrician to replace the exterior outlet anyway. Additionally he checked out the panel to see if work done by another electrician was correct. All of this was done in an efficient and friendly manner. Can't say enough good stuff about the job.I'm extremely impressed with the level of service and information i was given over the phone. I was in desperate need due to breakers popping on daily basis (which turned out to be loose wiring in breaker box)

Solutions Electrical recently upgraded my panel from 100A to 200A, and ran a 50A circuit to my garage for an EVSE charger. The communication in preparation for the work, and during installation was excellent.Dave did a nice job with the panel upgrade and surge protector installation.Although Frank and Carmine encountered a few issues running the circuit out to the garage, they discussed options with me and the end product was excellent.I would recommend Solutions Electrical, and will use them for future electrical work, as they clearly state what they are going to do, when they will be there, and how much it will cost and then do so. This is my first review on Home Stars, the reason being that the services I received from Frank and Carmine was so exceptional, I felt compelled to share my story. It all started when my Ring Door Bell lost power; I began tinkering with the electrical wire to the door bell and ended up cutting off some copper wire by accident. Without proper tools, I thought it's time to call in the professionals.They arrived on the same day I called. They were able to diagnose the problem right away. They were honest about how long it would it take, and went about fixing it efficiently, all the while explaining to me what they were doing, teaching me how to trouble-shoot in the future. Overall I'm very pleased. The tech that came out was pleasant and professional. He answered all my questions, provided me valuable knowledge and worked in a manner to minimize any the need for any further repairs (drywall, etc). Billing and account payment was simple. They provide me the option to pay over the phone with a credit card. The rep here was also very pleasant and courteous. I should note the cost was for 2 hours of service and a permit charge. The lights and 4 recessed lights were provided by myself. I even had the holes in the ceiling cut and ready for the tech. The only negative I can point out is very similar to other review. The upfront communication could be improved. It took about a week of calls and emails to schedule a tech. Not a terribly long wait I know but this seems to be a complaint with all trades people. We've been looking for a reliable electrician and found one in Solutions Electrical. Service request, estimate and scheduling quick and efficient. Dave and Cory worked for 2 days through pouring rain and sticky heat to dig a trench and run electricity to our pool shed without disrupting newly laid patio stones. We already had a Florida ceiling but T12 tubes were rapidly becoming obsolete and the conversion to the smaller T8's did not offer any saving or guarantee for the future. Two guys from Solutions Electrical came and in one day, removed the entire Florida ceiling, took away the components, checked all our breakers to check that we were up to code and then installed 12 pot lights. We had Solutions come to do an electrical audit a couple years ago - best decision ever!
Upon completion of several different renovations by different companies we felt uneasy with the electric workmanship - it seemed somewhat haphazard. The audit by Solutions helped us know what issues existed and they also fixed a couple of things right on the spot. Sure enough they found overloaded circuits, several unground ones and a number of messed up configurations that would require further investigation and we were informed we had to replace the breaker panel......a second time in less than 10 years! The previous electrician we hired had install it used a panel that could not be expanded and it was fully used, not to mention overloaded in places. They alerted us to possible asbestos in our attic so they were unable to complete the full inspection. We knew it was going to be a big job to fix it all so had to wait awhile before embarking on it. We completed the environmental assessment and received clearance from asbestos which gave us the green light to continue with the electrical work. We just completed phase one of the repairs and we want to shout out to Joe B and Carmen who did the work with Solutions - they found multiple junction boxes hidden, incorrect wiring, several very poorly and incorrectly installed pot lights that were a fire hazard. Their dogged determinedness to locate and dismantle the hidden junction boxes and their attention to detail to run new wires in an organized fashion and fix the multitude of prior messes has left us with a tremendous sigh of relief. The guys were so pleasant and their work-ethic surpassed any trade we've ever had work done in the past - long days and we never even saw them take a break! Every day they left us with power in the most important places, all tidied up. They were careful within our home, laying down plastic and wearing booties and as least intrusive as one can be doing such a rewire!! This is the second time that I've used Solutions Electrical & Maintenance and am very happy with their work - it is the gold standard. Here are the strengths that stood out for me:First, I needed them in short notice (5 days) - as my General Contractor advised me he had time to do the work and they fit me in.Second - they are very focused on customer satisfaction - which is really appreciated. I needed an EV charger installed, along with electrical outlet in garage, a potlight that I couldn't figure out where had burnt out and some other items.
Solutions was great. They gave me a quick email budget to give me an idea after sending them some pics and description which I really appreciated. Then they came out to finalize some of the details and provide a better quote, some items will still left a bit open as it would depend on what was found to be the issue. I still haven't paid for anything yet like some companies that insisted on a payment just to show up. When I gave them the go ahead they showed up right on time, worked most of the day and we worked out any issues that came up, pricing was right in line. No issues. They showed me some other things that I may want to look at in the future which I appreciated as I had not noticed before and are definitely important to review sooner than later. Based on Homestars ratings I asked Solutions to replace all aluminum wiring receptacles and light switches on the second floor as many were old and beginning to fail. They will be returning to do all on the first floor and also check all light fixtures so that our house is certified for safety. This affects house insurance and certification will allow us to go elsewhere for insurance. Solutions was WONDERFUL from our first contact thru to completion of the first phase (cost ~$300). The builder didn't put lights directly above our front lobby or in the area where our dining room table is located when the house was built, and we decided to finally do something about it.
