Liam came highly recommended to me and did not disappoint. Was able to get in for head shots next day and process was exactly as described. In and done in a few minutes. I hate having my picture taken, but Liam made this a great experience. Super comfortable, enough direction (not the crazy head tilting, humans cannot move this way type stuff) and the results were excellent. I ended up with a bunch of photos to choose from which was easy with the online gallery. Picked my photo, photo was sent to me in full size, touched up, and no restrictions on use. Liam did a university graduation photo session with my son and created fantastic photographs. Since my son is graduating with a math degree, we wanted to do something unique by using a blackboard with math calculations and Liam enthusiastically encouraged us to go with this plan. He provided a blackboard backdrop and gave us the time we needed to write all the formulas and equations, and then he did his magic! He set up such a comfortable and fun environment that my son, who is not usually a fan of posing for pictures, was at ease and Liam captured many natural expressions ranging from a serious look to great smiles. After years, literally 5 of them, drooling over Liam & Steph's work, our experience with them was every bit as incredible as we hoped.

Despite the fact that they had just the two of us to work with instead of a full wedding party complete with guests, we have an astounding assortment of beautiful, unique, creative & fresh shots that will allow us to share our love for each other and the island of Maui with all our family & friends.

We spent not just one day together, but ten long ones (14+ hours each). We were often up at 6:00, or earlier, adventuring from sea level to 10,023 feet and not back to the hotel until 10:00pm or later and not once did these two disappoint - they were up for anything.

We barely knew each other beforehand, but the fun and friendship we created together will always be such a great part of our wedding story.

These cats can keep a Secret Elopement secret, make you feel comfortable in front of a camera even when you usually aren't, and happily encourage your wedding day whims (hiking a tropical rainforest in leather boots and a white dress, anyone?)

We can't wait to force them to travel half-way around the world with us again.

Liam and Steph helped pull off the best surprise proposal photo shoot ever! After over a month of emailing and changing dates, my now fiance and I travelled to Halifax from the states where I was to propose. Liam, Steph and an apprentice setup at Peggy's Cove, disguised as other tourists. I met Liam in the bathroom to discuss the final shot location. They beyond pulled it off. My gf said yes and we are now so thankful to have the best photos of our life to prove it. They are professionals as the finest level. Out of 5 stars I give them 10, no no, actually 15. They went over and above to make us feel so welcomed in Canada and Halifax on such a special day. They are so good, we will be doing our absolute best to get them to our wedding in Scotland! Richard and Ashley are probably the two coolest, most fun, people in the world! Not only did they make us feel comfortable, confident, and relaxed at our wedding, but we just had a genuinely awesome time with them! They rocked our wedding day from stopping traffic, to climbing grain towers (even though

Ashley & Richard shot our September 9th wedding and made what was already the best day EVER even more incredible. Getting your photo taken repeatedly isn't the most fun thing. However, we barely even noticed them during the day, aside from when they were directing us in some group shots (crotch cuddle!). We were extremely impressed with the dedication that they showed to get the shots that we wanted, and even more impressed by Richard's perseverance after almost getting taken out during the Mull River Shuffle. We've gotten our teaser shots and were so impressed with them that we're like kids on Christmas waiting for the rest of our photos. Many of our friends and family have already commented on how impressed they were that our photographers stayed so late into the evening, capturing literally every moment of our day. 3 things I need to highlight before I write my review.

1- My wife already wrote a review and I have no reason to write one nonetheless I think I should.
2- I dont bother myself with writing reviews unless service/product is really bad or really good.
3- If a product/service is good, I wait a while before I write so I can let it sink in and actually evaluate instead of writing something in spur of the moment. (In this case months later and I always find one thing to criticize to suggest improvement)

I did not know what to expect from Applehead studio. Wedding day arrived and I had the pleasure to meet with Liam and Steph. Amazing people. Liam is great at breaking the ice and you know they are there but you kinda dont. It is hard to explain but let me try... When we first met them we were all nervous and I guess trying too hard to figure out what is going on but he includes himself to the setting create the environment/mood and step out to capture the moment. It is a fantastic quality for a wedding photographer because anyone else would have been capturing groom and best man looking at each other at a barber shop having no idea what to do next. As he helped us relax and just enjoy ourselves we became more ourselves and thus creating great candid shots/opportunities for him. This is great because anyone can take technically great shots but not anyone can create a setting to take amazing moments considering none of us are models.

As the day progressed we had lots of fun. (I was actually hoping for Applehead to put that B/W image of me in mirror on their instagram or their webpage or smtn)

Our wedding was amazing and Applehead captured every amazing moment and on top of it helped us relax, helped us have fun. They helped with babysitting, they dealt with a broken chair and on and on...

So I already talked about how they helped create amazing moments to capture amazing images. Lets talk about products we received.

-Online gallery is superb! I love it. I look at it more than I should be.
-Printed copies are fantastic.
-Who am I kidding these are the best images I have seen with me in it.

I spend months trying to find something wrong to say, something to criticize so I got some meaningful input for them to improve on but I am sorry Applehead, I failed. Professional, smart, well prepared (if you were not, you were great at faking it) and amazing results. When you look at the images consider the moments you could have got. Liam and Steph came to Italy for our daughter's wedding - accompanied by a group of just under 100 guests. To say that they were amazing is an understatement. They became a part of the 'family'. Steph and Liam shot our wedding nearly two weeks ago, they were absolutely incredible! They managed to make everyone around them feel comfortable and completely at ease. Applehead photographers must obviously double as covert government agents.

My boyfriend, now fiancé, had a team of these guys secretly stationed all around Peggy's Cove. I had absolutely no idea whatsoever he would be proposing, let alone that there would be THREE photographers disguised as regular joes in order to get a genuine shot.

We got married on Oct 6 of this year and had so many issues leading up to our big day. We were planning a wedding for NB from Calgary AB and it didn’t prove to be easy. With vendors cancelling and plans not lining up how we’d hoped. It was a little stressful and not how we had hoped planning our big day would go.Steph&Liam were the first thing we booked after getting engaged and anything going wrong with that was our biggest fear. If only we knew we had NOTHING to worry about. They were flawless. They were responsive, professional, and even helped with DJ recommendations. We laughed every time we heard from them and they made us feel totally at ease. On the day of the wedding they totally blended in, they introduced themselves to everyone they met, they had us in a deep belly laughter every other moment and truly perfected our day. We honestly can’t imagine not having had them there. They helped to calm us down, show us the ropes and capture every single moment we didn’t want to forget. Make this the last review you read, save the countless hours of researching wedding photographers and just book Applehead, if they're not available for your date, change your date. .. That's what we did and it was completely worth it. My wife had been following them for years and was dead set on having them shoot our wedding, I needed a little bit of convincing, but man am I glad she won me over. Liam and Steph absolutely killed it. From meeting us out on the golf course at 10am right to the last shot taken (sometime between 12-1AM) these two were a pleasure to work with. I really felt (and the pictures speak to it) that they go out of their way to get the shots that a "normal" wedding photographer wouldn't get. The emotion and hilarity captured along with our traditional family shots were stunning.Also super impressed with the post production work, within a day or two they were sending us teasers and then the whole lot came way ahead of schedule. They also did a few custom editing/touch ups on certain pictures we wanted to use. These two enjoy what they do, have fun with it, and are true professionals. I don't even know where to start.... The experience of having Liam & Steph (our paparazzi, as they were called by other guests at our resort)) shoot our wedding in Mexico was more than I could have ever hoped! We were referred to them by a friend and after seeing Applehead's website I knew I had to have them shoot our wedding. I sent them an email and inquired about having them come to Mexico, I was a little nervous seeing as we are from Alberta and would not have a chance to meet with them before hand. The response was prompt and Liam immediately put any fears I had to rest! They spent the entire week with our group and honestly I don't think it took any time before they just fit right in! So easy to be around and talk to and Liam is hilarious! My laugh lines definitely deepened that week! I first met Liam 7 years ago at a fashion shoot; since then I have been a HUGE fan of his work. When my husband and I got engaged I knew I wanted Liam and Steph to shoot our wedding. We booked them before we even had a venue; we planned our day around their availability. Applehead was our first decision, and by far the best decision we had made in planning for our big day. When I started looking for wedding photographers I quickly set up heart on Applehead Studio. They came highly recommended to us by friends and family who has worked with them for their weddings. I quickly fee in love with their work and was very excited when I found out they were available on our wedding date.They did not disappoint. When we met before the wedding I let them know that I wanted the wedding to be focused on friends, family and guns! Yes guns. My husband and I got married July 11, 2015. Having a great photographer was one of my main priorities for my wedding and after reading some reviews and checking out their website, I decided to book with Appleheads. From the very first meeting, both Liam and Steph were so easy going and laid back yet super professional. It's easy to see that both of them are genuinely passionate and excited about the work that they do. Liam was always easy to get a hold of to answer any of my questions prior to the wedding and was able to suggest a location for our photo shoot (which I absolutely loved). I can be a pretty shy person so I was nervous that I would feel uncomfortable or awkward at times during the photos but Liam and Steph have a way of making you feel relaxed and comfortable. I had so much fun working with them, looking back at our photos we were laughing in so many pictures. Liam and Steph felt like friends that day, they blended in so easily and made everyone feel at ease. The photos felt so effortless (for us) yet came out so beautifully. Liam and Steph decided to try out a new idea with our wedding - they had every guest pop in to their studio to get a picture of them dancing. The end result was a 6 foot picture with 111 people dancing to "shake it off". I absolutely love the picture and love that I will have this amazing keepsake for years to come. Liam and Steph stayed until the very end of the night so we not only have beautiful photos from getting ready, the ceremony and dinner but we have so many fun pictures of our friends and family dancing and partying the night away. We woke up on the morning of our wedding day to a downpour of rain, and one of the first text messages I read was from Liam - he just wanted to let me know that we were going to have the best day ever, no matter the weather. It was at that point that I was absolutely certain that we had made the right decision in hiring Applehead Studio to photograph our wedding. Liam and Steph instantly fit in with our friends and family, and made everyone forget that they had (multiple) cameras strapped to them! We never felt like we were posing either, which was really important to us. They captured the best moments of the day, and treated us like their best friends - we didn't want them to leave at the end of the night. Our photos are spectacular. We have put them on canvas, ordered massive prints from Applehead and purchased a photo album - there is nothing that we haven't been happy with.
