I moved with my family from the U.K to Kelowna in 2007. In my 20 years of field experience, I have worked with many individuals and their families under different settings both in the U.K and Canada. My experience includes working in child and adolescent in-patient psychiatric units, adult and youth community, working with mental health teams as a counsellor/therapist and intake worker, youth counsellor and as an eating disorder clinician for youth.
I utilise specialized treatment methods for a multitude of issues ranging from relationship problems to mental health concerns to help children, teenagers, young adults and their families. We also offer comprehensive mental health assessments and support to navigate mental health problems when necessary.
I have qualified as a nurse in 2000, graduating from the University of Central England, Birmingham. I am a Registered Nurse (RN) in British Columbia and I also hold a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counselling. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
