What do you love most about your job?

I have always been attracted to the helping professions, initially in my nursing career, and now in my counselling service as I love being able to assist clients to maximise their functioning, and achieve their desired outcomes. I am passionate about working collaboratively with clients who have relationship issues. I find it very rewarding knowing I have assisted clients with resolving their issues, and becoming successful in restoring the harmony back into their lives. Additionally, I enjoy knowing that clients I have assisted with tackling their anxiety, depression and any other stressors in their lives have been successful in overcoming their issues and achieving their desired goals. All in all, it gives me great joy knowing clients knowing clients have become empowered and are feeling more positive and happier in their lives after counselling.

What inspired you to start your own business?

In my nursing career, I was often called on to allay anxiety in patients, and I enjoyed being able to provide encouragement and reassurance to these patients in a medical setting, whereby they felt they could trust in the assistance provided, and thereby feel calmer and more relaxed as a result. My ability to have a calming effect patients, combined with my desire to help people in need inspired me to become a counsellor.

Why should our clients choose you?

I believe that my genuine desire to help clients with their issues, in conjunction with my warm, caring and friendly disposition enables client to maximise their chances of seeking resolution for their issues. However, should I be unable to fully assist them I always ensure that I refer them onto an appropriate professional who would cater specifically for their particular needs. Furthermore, I use an integrative and holistic approach whereby I tailor treatment to the individual needs of each client.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

At the moment I am providing counselling online via Zoom. Clients using Life Counselling Services are required to download the Zoom App so that they will be able to connect with me online at their agreed appointment time after I send them a link for the meeting via Zoom.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I am counselling via Zoom, therefore we always ensure we have maintained our social distance by using the Zoom option for counselling.
