About 18 months ago I stumbled across life coaches on Bark, not knowing what to expect aside from wanting more from my life but unsure where/how to point myself in that direction. I was connected with Jacqueline and it was a fit from the start.

She has a beautiful way with words and has helped me find clarity and direction in my career and personal life. Working with Jacqueline I love the deep questions that are asked and the space to be listened to and truly understood without judgment. We dived deep into identifying my values and aspirations. Each session I have walked away with value, whether it was conversation of deep reflection, habit tracking, her knowledge/guidance on leadership or opening my mind to a new thought or conversation. Before I started working together with Jacqueline from JS Leader Development, I was experiencing personal and professional challenges, particularly in dealing with confrontation in a professional setting which encompassed many sleepless nights, increased anxiety, and a constant feeling of being overwhelmed due to not being able to deal with confrontation/conflict. This issue was affecting my personal life, family, and overall ability to communicate.

During my first meeting with Jacqueline, she was able to describe, connect and resonate with exactly how I was feeling, explain to me that I am not alone in this journey and guided me through some breathing techniques to slow down my heartbeats and start calmly from there. That made my decision very easy to work with Jacqueline as my coach.

Jacqueline helped me realise the importance of self-reflection and acknowledging/congratulating yourself with any win (no matter how small). This was huge as it helped me switch off from constantly thinking about work, focus on my personal life, and made me feel refreshed & reenergised when I switch back on for work.
One of the biggest shifts for me was learning how to regulate my emotional response in moments of stress or conflict. Through Jacqueline’s coaching, I developed practical tools to pause, and breathe, which is helping me respond with clarity rather than react from a place of anxiety. I also became more aware about how self-criticism was fueling my stress.

The full sessions gave me the space to reflect deeply, uncover my body-language patterns with difficult conversations, issues, meetings and come up with proactive strategies to manage this stress. Recognising this pattern has enabled me to prepare better for my work day and manage these difficult situations.

I am now more confident with self-reflection, awareness, calming my nerves, and these three things are helping me proactively manage upcoming days where I foresee challenges with difficult conversations/meetings.

Jacqueline has a unique ability to listen with empathy while also challenging me in a way that feels supportive and constructive. Her calm presence, and insightful questions, make me feel heard, understood, and empowered. She never rushes the process and always meets me exactly where I am.
