BEWARE: For a professional fee of $2,800 for soliciting and conveyancing, I had expected a MUCH smoother and more responsive service. At the end, Bespoke legal refused to help and more with the processes that I had paid them to do, even when my bank confirmed that it was their fault. I recently engaged Bespoke Legal for the settlement of my apartment purchase, and unfortunately my experience was very stressful. I was left disappointed and was surprised at how much the overall fee was given how much I had to individually solve myself. Important emails from my bank went unanswered for days and decisions requiring my input were not followed up on which caused delays in getting a strata record search completed and without my involvement risked skipping it entirely. This is unacceptable given the hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake and the biggest transaction that I have had to navigate in my life. A $1,900 funding shortfall was communicated to them multiple times by my bank before settlement, but they did not respond until after settlement had already occurred. This nearly caused the entire settlement to fail and if the bank hadn't stepped in to intervene. After I followed up on this wondering how this happened, Bespoke Legal REFUSED to help, leaving me to try and navigate complex financial processes by myself. This left me to chase answers and manage the fallout on my own. At several points, I felt left out of the loop and unsupported, despite relying on them for what should have been proactive guidance. I cannot believe how hard the entire process was. Comparing with colleagues, they also cannot believe what happened, and assure me that their solicitors weren't like this at all. More...
