I have had a few trainers over the last 10 years in Sydney and without any hesitation Matt takes the number one spot for getting results in a way that is enjoyable. Thanks to Matt I am now able to take up my passion of running again. After years of rehab and issues I had recovering from an ACL reconstruction, I started training with Matt and his knowledge and understanding of the body is what helped me get back on my feet and running! One of the best coaches out there. The kind of knowledge he brings to the table is amazing. From never being able to squat to squatting 110 is been a journey and without your guidance and help wouldn’t have been possible.

I started working with Matt after he was recommended by another trainer I work with. I specifically have issues with dislocating shoulders. Matt is an incredible coach! I have been training with Matt for a little over two years now and ever since have fallen in love with powerlifting and regular training.

Not only does Matt provide the foundations for an exciting and persistent training schedule, support in creating healthy habits (both mentally and physically) as well as nutritional guidance, but an articulated and specialised program that will ensure you hit the goals you are striving towards!

Under Matt's guidance I have achieved more than I ever thought I could, and have created life changing habits that have made me a much healthier and happier person. What a legend of a PT. Takes time to make a program that is right for me. Extremely knowledgeable and always happy to explain the what, the how, and, most importantly, the why when it comes to the program.

I've been working with Matt for several years now, working on maintaining general fitness and weight levels and also working together on particular goals for certain periods. Matt goes above and beyond to tailor workouts to meet these needs and is always giving great technical insight into what each exercise does as well as great tips to work on in my own time. I've always been an incrediblely inflexible person not enjoying working on my mobility leading to reoccuring back problems but since working with Matt have seen my mobility and technique in all lifts come a long way and find myself not aching as much in my day to day as I achieve strength and movement goals.

Couldn't recommend anyone else other than Matt. After having worked through two injuries with him, one in my shoulder and the other in my lower back, I can strongly say he is a rehab master. He's also helped my reach some pretty amazing conditioning and strength goals. Matt is a top notch coach. I’m always impressed by his depth of knowledge in anatomy and biomechanics. He helped rehab me through 9 months of shoulder bursitis and later a dislocated elbow. I always feel like I’m in safe hands and happy to say that I’m pain-free and I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.

Matt’s got a great sense of humour and will keep you motivated without you ever feeling pressured. Every program he’s ever put me on is highly specific to my needs. Very grateful for all the support he’s given me over the years.

Working with Matt was a dream, he really pushed me to achieve my goals and helped me through every stage of my training, offering advice on my program and nutrition whenever I needed it.

He also continued to assist me after I stopped training under him, offering help whenever I asked.

Working with Matt has been a real eye opener. Having experienced hip pain for quite an extended period of time, it was amazing to see the impact his coaching could have on both my performance in the gym, and how I feel outside it.
Training with Matt is always a pleasure as, although he is from the bush, his banter is decent.

Knowing I was lacking in my Oly Weightlifting skill despite dabbling on and off for a couple of years, I decided to get myself a coach. Matt has been super patient with me and his knowledge and experience is second to none. I've seen huge improvements in my lifting in a very short period and, after he identified mobility as an issue, Matt has also given me a comprehensive mobility programme which has helped massively not only in my Oly lifting but other areas of my training. I came to Matt with weak and unstable knees, I was afraid of wearing socks on tiled floors because they would dislocate. With Matt’s help, I went from tip-toeing to skiing without fear in 12 months. His programming is wildly intelligent and personal, his knowledge of not just anatomy but the movement patterns associated with it is completely unparalleled. I saw physio after physio who didn’t possess a piece of the knowledge that came from Matt but despite this he still sets out to learn more and more every day. I have worked with Matt for the passed 7 years and his knowledge is second to none. I have played a semi-professional level of rugby league and Matt has tallied programs in season to suit my needs the best, furthermore he would always have me in the best shape during pre-season. My training is based around the basics of strength and conditioning, using compound movements and appropriate variations based on the clients level of capability and focusing on performance outcomes to help clients achieve their body composition goals.
All my clients get a tailored approach based off a thorough consultation and movement assessment to design a program around their goals and needs.

Unfortunately there is no "secret" to getting in shape, and I'm not the trainer who is going to tell you there is.
A good place to start is believing that you can achieve the result you want. From there adherence and consistency with your training and nutrition plan for a long time. Committing to changing your lifestyle and habits long term. Play the long game and your results will last

Since a teenager I have been passionate about training and becoming a personal trainer was my goal since I was 16 years old. I have been a trainer for almost a decade now and love it more than ever.

I take my profession very seriously, I am incredibly passionate about helping people with their health and fitness. A lot of trainers do PT as a part time job, for me this has always been my full time work, and I am committed to putting in the effort to continually learn and grow to help my clients continue to progress

Yes, all of my programming is done through TrainHeroic. An app that allows me to train clients remotely. I have set up the app to have over 400 videos of my own coaching content, this allows the clients to have access to the same explanations as they would in person.
Clients also have daily contact with me via the app to help them with anything they need with their training

The gym I work in, Fitness Playground has gone above and beyond to maintain a high standard of cleanliness during the pandemic. We practice all necessary measures to ensure that all members and staff are safe.
