What you’ll find here is a bit different to other PC businesses – I am a small business based in Brisbane, Australia and I build and repair PCs for real people and live stream the builds and repairs. There’s nothing contrived here, what you see is what you get.

Tim was absolutely great to deal with, I ordered 2 custom gaming computers for 2 of my boys, he built them to suit my budget and needs, the thing that won me over has the good reviews, and the live stream of the build and testing etc even tho there were heaps of other builders closer to home Great work mate!!!

I emailed him with a build and like, Tim said no anyway

If I could give this guy 0 stars, I would. If you read only one review of Tims-PC, make sure it's this one. Tim quoted me $425 to switch to a new case, clean all the extra components and install some extra fans. I opted to go through with it because I wasn't aware of other options, and he is a registered business so I thought it would have been safe. I dropped my PC off to him on Friday the 6th January 2023, and he told me he would have it ready for me on the 7th January 2023 to pick up that day. He got to it on the 8th January. He live streamed it on Facebook as well and it looked as though he had completed it that night. However, I heard nothing from him at all afterwards. I sent him a text message on the 9th January to see what was happening with my PC and I did not get a response. That night, I sent him an email and he didn't respond to that either. So on the 10th, I ended up giving him a call in the afternoon after no responses during that day. He told me specifically on the phone that there were no issues with my PC and it was ready for pick-up. I thought it was a bit strange that he couldn't just tell me that over text or email, but travelled over to pick it up. When I got there, and after leaving me waiting at the door for 5-10 minutes after I knocked, he carried it out and explained to me that "there was one problem with my PC". He had smashed the front panel of my new case. He told me that he was in the process of seeking a replacement, but told me that "these parts are extremely difficult to get" so I would likely be waiting a while. I was pretty annoyed by the way he'd handled that, and felt like he should have told me that over email/text before i'd travelled all that way to pick it up, but it is what it is. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. So, after I got the PC home and set it up, it had a multitude of problems. None of these existed before I'd dropped it off to him - everything was working perfectly. This is a list of the issues I have had since getting it back from Tim: • None of the components were cleaned like he told me he would do on the quote/invoice. Further to that, he has a cat that he lets sit on the PCs and in the live stream he was doing my PC on, surely enough, the cat is sitting right next to my PC. This would explain why there was cat hair all through my PC. • When I put my PC on my desk, and went to position it, electrical sparks came out of my motherboard twice. That was when I first got it home. • My motherboard has been making this beeping noise. I did some research on this and worked out it is the BIOS signaling an issue with the PC. • Half of the fans are also failing to work properly. When I first turn on the PC, some of the fans just go to start and then stop. By the time I get to the login screen, one of the fans will start working, but then the other two will continue to have that same issue. They then eventually start working once I log into the PC and start Armory Crate. • The CPU also runs extremely hot just logging in and checking Armory Crate. The PC smells like an electrical fire whenever it's turned on. • The motherboard makes a buzzing noise whenever I try to run any games on it now. It sounds like the PC is going to catch on fire if left for too long. Part of the $425 that I paid to Tim, was supposed to include a stress test as per the invoice that I was provided. Not only was this not completed during the live stream, but if it had, Tim would have picked up this specific issue amongst the others I have listed. I tried to contact Tim about this respectfully and I was met with spam phone calls and abusive text messages, with him swearing at me. I have attached examples of the messages that I received from Tim. Despite this, I agreed to take the PC back to him to see if he could fix it before considering a refund. I had someone with me when I arrived at Tim's and he told them to "wait outside - there's no room for you in here". I went in to sit down with him and go through the issues with the PC. Tim immediately started hurling abuse and swearing at me. At no point did he actually try to look at the PC and go through the issues. He used the interaction as an opportunity to abuse me, and accuse me of things like "looking for any reason to hate his business", "being an alcoholic" because I sent him three emails with different issues, me "being rude to him", despite not being able to cite any specific example of me being so, and "just trying to scam a refund out of him." I explained that I simply just want my PC fixed and working as it was, before it was dropped off to him. He also told me again that he "f**king live streams all his work" and "did you not f**king watch my live stream, I also updated your PC to the latest BIOS version." That was false, because I'd just completed a BIOS update before I dropped it off to him and it was still on the same version when I brought it back to him. On top of this, at no point in his live stream did Tim ever perform a BIOS update. I explained to Tim that unless he's streaming from the moment I dropped it off to him, to the second I pick it up, his stream doesn't mean anything. There were two days before the stream, and the two days after where he was completely ignoring me. He could have done anything during this time. Tim just laughed at me and said "I have no f**king idea how PCs work." Tim refused to fix any of the problems that he caused with my PC, despite saying he guarantees his work. Tim insists this is all normal behaviour for a PC. After hearing enough abuse, I told Tim if he isn't going to help me, to give me my PC back so I can leave. By the way, if you ordered a build with Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic case and you're wondering why you are missing your front panel, Tim stole it out of the box after he had destroyed mine, because he "just wants to be f**king done with me." Tim also originally gave me $50 for some parts that I was previously using in my PC. He told me to "give his f**king money back" and "you can have your f**king parts back". I handed him the $50 before I left. In amongst these parts that I had left with him originally, I had three ASUS fans. These were missing when I got my parts home. This bloke is supposed to be a business man and thinks that it is acceptable to speak rudely and abusive to his customers like he did to me. He tried to justify this by saying that I was being rude to him. However, he has not been able to prove this in any capacity. Please provide the proof of where I have allegedly been rude to you, Tim. If you are looking for a new PC or a repair, DO NOT engage the services of Tims PC unless you are prepared to be met with unprofessionalism through out your entire interaction. Whether it's where he just flat out ignores you for days on end, he abuses you because you have a problem with his services, he breaks your equipment, or he does not complete repairs/services that he agreed to complete. Tim clearly does not guarantee his work. My PC is completely unusable now due to the issues that I previously listed and as a result, I will need to seek the services of someone that actually knows what they're doing. Steer well clear of this guy. More...

highly recommend Tims PC for anyone struggling to understand what they need out of a computer. I hardly know what anything is or what it does and Tom took my description of what I need it for and came up with something that fit almost perfectly into my budget! (went over my budget by just under $100 but this was because I wanted a couple of extra things). now it is a bit nerve wracking being asked to pay in full upfront, however the transparency that Tim has by building the computer live and interacting with his audience provides all the reassurance you need! I was impressed by how quickly he built it and the turn around time was very impressive! Tim was extremely helpful and professional and picking it up was super smooth and the computer came well protected. it's an absolute dream to use and so incredibly quick! More...

My partner tried to get a PC priced, he wouldn't show part prices or say how much he was charging to build it. We worked out it was going to cost around $500 to build.

Reviewed on Facebook

When I enquired about part prices he wouldn’t tell me. When I asked how much he charges to build a PC he wouldn’t tell me. When I said I was a bit uncomfortable to spend almost $4000 when he wouldn’t tell me any of this…he dismissed me and said to go somewhere else then. Since then, I’ve looked into the parts (with help from other PC builders etc) he was going to use and worked out he was going to charge me over to $500 to build a pretty standard gaming PC! Transparency goes a long way. This guy expects you to just accept his price, without any idea as to how much he’s getting the parts for, how much he’s charging you for them and how much he’s charging you to build it. Be very careful with this guy. Once he quotes you, get a quote from someone else or look up the parts yourself. I’m very lucky I had a Facebook group to help me realise what he was up to. More...

Q&As

I like to help people and I like to solve problems. Whether its a business or a private individual, I find the work very rewarding.

I have been building and repairing PCs for 20 years, but when covid hit and demand went crazy, I resigned from my safe sales manager job to start my own business.

My point of difference is the live streaming of PC builds and repairs.
