I am forever appreciative for the introduction of Cath into my life.
After an initial phone consultation she immediately made time for me, first with a follow up phone call and then to see me on her day off.
Whist anxious regarding the nature of my visit she made me feel immediately at home. With her warmth and understanding felt like I’d know her for years (thanks for the cuppa tea👍).
From here, with structure she could guide the conversation to where it needed to go without me feeling exposed.
Don’t be apprehensive about booking with Cath to let her guide you back to the path.

Therapist

I was struggling to make a very important choice although I know what I truely wanted, Cath helped me understand what I really do want and identify what serves me and what doesn’t - which helped lead to the decision. Cath also made me feel validated with some past events which allowed me to let go of those things and heal from them emotionally. Therapist

After suffering in silence with a mild but persistent depression, Cath was recommended to me by a close friend. Numerous other circumstances were also beginning to bear down on me with cruel concurrence. Large fractures were present in my marriage and normal difficulties associated with teenage children had begun to escalate to serious problems.

Over the next two months, Cath proved to be a reliable sounding board, a judgement free confidant and the provider of wisdom and insight, all of which were invaluable to me as I navigated the most tumultuous period of my life I had ever experienced.

In no small way is it thanks to Cath’s care of my mental health that now 8 months after my first consultation I am freed from depression. I live a life of enthusiastic intentional quality in every thing I do. Whether that is fathering my children, engaging fulsomely in my work, building new relationships, strengthening old ones or keeping fit and vital.

I cannot recommend Cath highly enough. She is an extraordinary person capable of coaching and facilitating extraordinary change.

Cath Edwards has supported both myself and family on an ongoing basis. Cath is incredibly sensitive, supportive, experienced and a true professional.

Cath’s extensive experience has assisted our family with working through some complex topics. I couldn’t recommend Cath more highly for both adults and children for complex trauma (including EMDR), family and mental health topics as she has assisted us greatly in these areas.

My children aged 12 and 10 have enjoyed seeing Cath and have benefited greatly from her support and expertise. They both look forward to their next appointment.

Cath was recommended to me by a friend who mentioned she would help ease my stress and trauma experienced in childhood and beyond. She used a method called EMDR which eases anxiety through eye movement. The level of care and compassion in Cath's voice during the session helped me to relax and totally trust her and the process. I didn't have to bring up uncomfortable past memories and emotions. It was painless yet profoundly deep. I left feeling lighter and at peace with myself.
Whether you have unresolved emotions, depression or trauma, I sincerely recommend Cath's professionalism and skill. Antidepressants only mask the pain. Highly recommend you do the work on yourself to get back on track with the life you were meant for.

Working with Cath Edwards has helped me immensely in building a sense of calmness and resilience.

We have been working on processing feelings how to sit with them and getting to what, who, when or how I got to that state (root of that feeling).
Due to a diagnosis of cancer, Cath has helped me through the feeling of ‘fear’ that I constantly had hanging over me.

I’m feeling more calm and peaceful and healing my thoughts.

I received EMDR therapy from Cath. I didn't know what to expect out of it but Cath made me feel very comfortable and explained the process very clearly all the way through. Cath was very hospitable while I was there and followed up with me after. I can tell Cath is passionate about what she does and is always researching relevant topics that can assist in helping people further. She is very experienced and truly cares about helping people in the best way based on this experience.
I recommend Cath to anyone dealing with trauma that they need assistance in getting through, no matter how big or small it may seem.

I have been seeing Cath for a few years now, she has guided me through multiple obstacles in my life, given me strategies to live day to day successfully, Helped me get through my serve panic attacks, depression and trauma .
Caths wealth of knowledge, calmess and experience has been fundamental in the work that she has done with me, knowing I have an experienced therapist working with me brings peace of mind knowing I'm in good hands, as I see the results with every visit.

Cath has been absolutely amazing working with our family for the past few years since a difficult and traumatic event. Specifically her relationship with my children as they work through some of the normal life challenges, and also some of the more tricky and specific circumstances, has been gentle, respectful and connected. She is flexible and adapts her sessions to the situation, which has been particularly important in dealing with the high anxiety my youngest is experiencing. Cath takes the time to get to know her clients very deeply and her approach is then tailored. I'm so grateful I found Cath during cancer treatment last year. She has been heaven sent, gently helping me shift painful and outdated beliefs which have hindered me for a lifetime. Recently we tackled fear, belonging, loss, abandonment and so much more, clearing pathways to self love and nurture. Through the support and dedication of Cath, I'm off the lounge and have started my own business. Im finding peace and harmony when I thought I never would. I was having trouble with a recent diagnosis for cancer. I felt overwhelmed and depressed. I wasn’t sure how to manage my emotions and how I could help myself.
Cath helped me to take my life one day at a time and deal with what was currently happening rather than what was going to happen.
She also used hypnotherapy and EMDR on me and I felt so much better afterwards.
Thanks Cath. I still have cancer but I feel so much calmer about what is ahead.

I have seen Cath for numerous sessions in hypnotherapy and EMDR. Cath was able to select the most appropriate treatment for my issues and assisted in elevating my symptoms of anxiety and stress. Cath was able to provide me with strategies for my everyday life so that once the session was over I was able to implement the new found knowledge and skills in a more effective way. This insured that I was able to self manage my anxiety through my every day life. I feel confident knowing I have the tools to self manage any flare ups that may occur.
Cath makes you feel at ease from the moment you step through the door and I would highly recommend her to anyway needing assistance with anxiety and stress management

I started to see Cath as a work coach at a time when I was frustrated with my job and felt like I was working myself into the ground. Cath gave me invaluable advice that made me think about my needs and my worth, my therapy was supposed to just be about work, we dived into my past and roots and this gave me an understanding about my thoughts and feelings and how I react to certain situations  Cath challenged me, listened deeply and helped me learn that the negative and positive experiences in life have shaped me into the person that I am today, I’ve been able to turn all of this into a place of strength. Q&As

One day I was asked if I would still be working well after retirement age and I answered that I couldn't see myself retiring. I love what I do so much that it is a part of my life.
I absolutely love seeing clients create the changes in their life that allows them to improve relationships, feel less toxic stress and anxiety, improve their mood, sleep more restfully, transition through grief and loss, enjoy their career or just find peace and contentment in their life.
I also enjoy watching clients quit smoking and positively change their relationship with food.

I worked in the corporate arena for many, many years and enjoyed the projects I worked on, the staff I worked with and managed but I always knew there was something more out there for me. I felt I could make a difference on a more personal level that would have a ripple effect on client's relationships, families and communities.
I have worked in a range of settings (Education, Corrections, Planning, Community Engagement, Child abuse, Police Projects, Drug and Alcohol, and Road Safety) and more recently Acute Mental Health for 4 years and decided that I needed t work at the other end of the continuum to support people enough that they didn't need emergency mental health treatment.
Wherever I can support clients to reduce their emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual pain I feel on top of the world! I am all about Mental Health and thriving.

I bring warmth, compassion and empathy to my clients. I understand what it feels like to need support and I treat clients just as I would want to be treated, with no judgement or instruction about what should happen in the future. Not only am I a life coach but I am a qualified trauma therapist and clinical hypnotherapist and use a range of techniques that will support the client in the most helpful way possible.

Within 6 months I found the strength to leave my marriage, I went from casual work to full time work in a new career that I had to study for, I had energy and passion and felt capable and strong. I needed constant support to make these changes and Cath went above and beyond, being available for telephone support whenever I needed.

Cath has worked with all of my three teenage children, helping them and guiding them through this huge change in their lives, I have noticed that they are less anxious and depressed and more loving and open. I am so happy that they have gained the skills to make themselves happy. Cath was always there for them, holding them through a very emotional and challenging time.
Eventually Cath worked with my ex husband alone and in group sessions with me to help us work together as parents.
