My greatest passion is a learner, and I love to share this passion with others, particularly through my favourite subject: mathematics.
My years of experience show that my greatest skill is with helping disengaged learners reinvigorate their curiosity and build engagement, however I am also skilled at taking passionate students to greater depths and complement the knowledge they already have.
If you're wanting to understand maths with more clarity than you've ever had, then I'm your girl.
As someone so passionate about learning, I've been studying math and science subjects at university for 9 years, learning chemistry, calculus, linear algebra, physics and biology. I'm currently studying Psychology at the University of Melbourne, where my focus is on motivation, attention and learning.
I've been working with a small experimental school using the foundations of positive psychology to engage learners, and the results have been extraordinary. I've had ten year olds working with the equations kinematic physics!
If you have a child who is struggling, or a child eager to know more beyond the bounds of school curriculum, I'm your person. In my years of experimental teaching, I've learnt to work with all types of learners, and have many tools that I use to offer new perspectives. Being such a passionate learner, I love creating new ways to explain, model, visualise, draw and detail, as it adds new dimensions to my own learning experience.
