Shane showed professionalism, care and logic in how he took and portrayed my photos. He carefully considered my needs and referred to websites and other photos that I directed him to before discussing what I wanted my portraits for. Shane was just wonderful from our initial phone conversation until we got the amazing photos he took. He listened to our requirements and delivered exactly what we asked for. He made the session so much for everyone. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a good photo is choosing your photographer. It's the photographer's role to help camera-shy people relax and their timing captures the perfect moment when you're at ease. A good sign that you have the right photographer is when you feel comfortable even though you may still be camera-shy.
They will make you be yourself, which always results in smiles that are genuine and natural.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When starting a new project, there is one fundamentally important question to understand. Why does my client want to take these photos?
This question brings clarity to the session and delivers stronger and more satisfying results.
What do you love most about your job?
The best part of being a photographer is that I'm always meeting new people who want to use photography in a positive way in their life. Teaching my clients how to get the most from their photos is very rewarding as is reminding them of the importance photography can play in our lives. Memories of your children, parents and even ourselves can fade over time, but a photograph can be a very powerful reminder of our personal histories. I love connecting with people and enjoy being helpful.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I began taking photos of the bands I loved. Photography allowed me to access concerts and festivals as a photographer and in turn meet many of the people I admired. Lots of artists, activists, and even spiritual leaders like the Dalai Lama. It made me realise all of us are connected to each other and impact each other through the lives we live.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am passionate about being useful and helpful in other people's lives. I treat everyone fairly and this includes how I price my services. I work well with my clients and find there are not many obstacles that can't be resolved using clear communication and understanding.

If you need a professional Make-up artist we can organise that for you. Prices start from $250 +gst. ------- You receive all photos as proofs. Then you receive High resolution and Web resolution versions of photographers edit + clients select. These are all photoshopped and enhanced. Delivered on a USB stick or online gallery. Corporate headshots
Hair and Makeup: A basic kit to help with grooming and shiny skin. If you need a professional Make-up artist we can organise that for you. Prices start from $250 +gst.
Deliverables:
Proofs delivered via online gallery the next day.

Photo Walks and Workshops with your smartphone
This is a fun and social way to learn how to use your phone camera to take great photos. You will also learn how to use free apps to edit your images in an easy and structured way. These skills can be useful if you run your own business, have children or travel from time to time. You can benefit from better photos for your work or for creating personal memories. Every Sunday we schedule a different walk around Sydney's historic suburbs and fast-developing landmarks. Check our website for all the information.
Weddings and engagements
My preference for photographing weddings, engagements, and any other big life event is to capture real moments like a documentary photographer. There's a healthy balance between the necessary posed group photos which are important to ensure all significant family and friends are included but the magic in an event is the real enjoyment in the faces of people who are present. We have an online gallery to view proofs. This feature also allows the final approved selection of photographs to be made available to family and friends. The service we can deliver is totally flexible depending on how much of the celebration you would like to have captured. Our prices are real and we can make suggestions to help you fit your budget.
