I’ve had an ongoing lower back issue for a good part of 15 years and have had trouble finding a regular therapist who asks the right questions and feels around to work on the right spots. It has been crippling for me many times. I have been seeing Domenic for just on 12 months and he works wonders on my fortnightly visits. Where do I start? 4 pulled hamstrings 2018. Coming back from knee surgery(meniscus) down on confidence, questioning if my body would actually let me play the sport I love. I’d had team mates that worked with Jacob and they had nothing but positive reviews. Being footballers themselves it just made sense. They understood where I was coming from and that I am an semi pro player. Time is hard to set aside but they knew I wanted to work. From the first meeting with Jacob he stressed to me it was about learning both side. Him learning my issues and how he would help. He wasn’t there to hammer me and talk down to me or judge me. This was the biggest thing for me. I know I’m not flexible and I know that I’m older. But Jacob was so open and positive and never judgmental. I’ve worked with a few trainers and physios who scoff and say some bad things(I know this guys that’s why I’m here for your help) Anyway! I did some online programming to get me through the back end of 2018. Weekly checking and some massage work. Loved it! Tapered all the sessions for my needs. Then I decided to do some of the preseason work shops in their gym. Fantastic. Again awesome and so much to learn. Even with classes of 5-7 people. He and the other trainers would make sure you knew exactly how to do the movements and exercises. He also again tapered my circuits to my needs with hamstrings and also loading up my knee. Fast forward to the end of this season. 2018- I played 7 games. 2019- I played 28 games. Starting not on the bench. Full 90 minutes. Now I’m 32 years old. Broken old defender. But Jacob has helped me feel so strong and confident again. Again I cannot talk of them highly enough. And I can’t wait to get back and work with his team again in the offseason. Ryan More...

I first approached the lads at Oxidate in 2018 to help me get in shape for an up and coming football pre-season in Europe. I wanted to improve my speed and power as well as focus on injury prevention. At the time I had serious issues within my hip and glute region, specifically my hip flexors, which were seriously detrimental to my performance on the pitch. I couldn’t last more than 10 minutes in matches without feeling extreme pain and visited 5 physiotherapists and masseurs in Melbourne and in Europe who all failed to understand what was causing this. Jacob and Dom at Oxidate figured that this was a result of wrongly overloading exercises as well as failing to complete the necessary recovery. They introduced me to a specific training program and treated me for my pain and soreness. 12 months down the track, not only do I feel faster and more powerful than ever, I have now played a full season injury and pain free by following their advice and maintaining the correct training and injury preventative habits. In all honesty this comes down to the boys at Oxidate and their vast knowledge and execution in the field. They are the best in the business and I cannot recommend them and thank them enough. I recently received life-changing nutrition coaching from Dom at Oxidate Performance ahead of two pole fitness competitions. I’d reached out to Dom for some help in getting my body comp ready, in terms of having the right fuel to get the most out of my training and also shredding down so that I looked and felt good on stage. Dom asked me about my goals and what I wanted out of this coaching, and then emailed me a meal plan based around my lifestyle, activity levels and what I wanted to achieve. My meals were clearly explained and broken up into higher fat and higher carb days, with the option for me to coordinate either day with my training schedule. On top of this he also provided me with information to educate me around what proper nutrition really means I noticed the changes in my body and stamina after the first 7 days, and the results just got better and better with every week I followed it. By the time my second comp came around I was in the best physical condition I’d ever been in. Spoiler alert, I won both comps! Dom was also super available to field any questions I had during the course of the plan, even sending through some new recipe ideas to mix things up a bit and tweaking my calorie limit once I decided to start increasing my cardio. I couldn’t have gotten to where I did physically without Dom’s work, and can’t recommend his services highly enough for anyone looking to get the absolutely best out of their body and training in the lead up to a sporting event. Through this coaching I’ve picked up knowledge around food and nutrition that I will apply for the rest of my life. More...
