I got in touch with John Afendulis at Next Step Mortgage Broking through a friend. John anticipated the questions I would have as a first home buyer and explained the whole process of buying a home from auction/private sale to mortgaging of the home. My circumstances were peculiar in that my household had two incomes, but for the purpose of the loan, most lenders counted us as a single income household with a dependent, resulting in smaller amounts. John was really good to deal with when I was looking to refinance my home loan. Banks and numbers are not really my forte but he was patient with explaining it all to me and found a bank with a better interest rate that I was on plus a cashback. Highly recommend!
