About

I have been personal training since 2002 and have worked in PT studios and in a North Adelaide gym for 18years specializing in working with older adults.
I now work from a small private studio in Unley and home gym at my house in Westbourne Park offering a variety of sessions including one on one , buddy sessions and small group training.

Gaynor has been an excellent source of knowledge and advice. Before training with her I struggled with a back problem. Her carefully planned program addressed all my needs whether one on one or in a class. Her program steadily improved my core strength and fitness without resulting in discomfort or injury and has lead to a marked improvement in my chronic back problem. She is able to quickly modify an exercise to suit anyone's physical issues while allowing them to get the most out of the class. Gaynor has been my trainer for close to a decade. I was overweight and unfit when I started but we took it slowly and it has worked! I have learned a lot from her over the years and feel confident to do my own training on some days as well as continue to do weekly sessions with Gaynor. Her sessions are tailored to my ability but also to how I feel on the day. With the help of Gaynor I ended up being fit enough to return to playing basketball in my early 50s. My trainer, Gaynor Pope, was recommended to me by a friend after I sustained a knee injury. Gaynor has gone out of her way to understand my particular injury, including contacting my physiotherapist to develop a good recovery plan. I began personal training after it was recommended by my GP. Being in my early 70’s and having done decades of exercise, I had lost motivation to go to mainstream gyms.

After a few months of training with Gaynor I feel completely rejuvenated. Her training sessions are fun, varied and lots of hard work. My technique has improved greatly with her expertise instruction and demonstration and there is the added benefit of advice for diet and nutrition.

As a mature age trainee I like the idea that some exercises are of a practical benefit for day to day living for improving my balance and preventing possible injuries. It has also helped me with my yoga and pilates training as I am much more aware of my posture and how to use my muscles correctly.

Every time I leave a training session I feel taller, stronger and fitter and full of endorphins!
