I am thrilled with Julie from MontClaire Interior's work on our home! We engaged her to transform a lounge room, master bedroom, hallway with staircase, family room and part of a kitchen. From the first moment she saw the spaces, she had amazing ideas that made us rethink our original plans - for the better! She has a lovely way of make suggestions and respecting your choices. However we chose to put our trust in her expertise and were glad we did. She put together a concept that tied all of our home together in subtle ways while retaining the individuality of every room. I love how she looked for items that were slightly different and ahead of current trends but were still timeless and practical (even with kids). She has such a great eye for colour, shapes, texture and detail. I fell in love with pretty much everything she recommended! The finished spaces look so stylish and beautiful, exceeding my expectations, though are still comfortable and liveable. We are even using the family room so much more than we anticipated. What’s your interior design process?
We start our process with an Initial Consultation so we can discuss your project, get to know you and work out a plan of how we can assist.
This is followed up with a Design Proposal which outlines the scope of work, a fee estimate and time frames.
Once the Proposal is accepted we start with a Design Concept that will encompass the direction and feel of the project. Once the Concept is established, depending on how involved the scope of work is, we continue with the development of the project.
Each project is individual to the client so the processes will vary, hence the importance of the Initial Consultation.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We are able to create a desired style based on your individual needs.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the ever changing challenges presented with each and every new client. I love using quality products and seeing the space come together. I love working with clients that are willing to step outside their comfort zone and be led down a different path than they would have gone themselves, to then fall in love with the end product.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been self employed for over 15 years and wouldn't have it any other way. I have always had a high standard of work ethic and creativity so when the time was right it was the natural step for me to take - to own my attention to detail, work hard and have the satisfaction that I am creating my own destiny in my own, flexible manner.
