They make people go in and do free cleaning and then don't employ them. The training is not good and there is no written instructions or checklist during their cleaning "workshop". Milan and Khyati did an absolutely amazing job. I have never seen the kitchen and bathroom so clean! I recently moved in to my partner’s house and let’s just say there have been water stains and grime built up for years. Plus, it is also an old house we are renting so some stains are just part of the decor now. The team did an absolutely amazing job, especially in the bathroom and kitchen. We paid extra for spring cleaning and to clean the fridge and oven and they look almost brand new (both appliances are probably near 10 years old). What inspired you to start your own business?
Edward Clayton, Owner: I always wanted to own my business and work for myself due to the flexibility and financial freedom that can come with it, if done right. My parents always nurtured two things in me – an entrepreneurial spirit and the importance of a good work ethic. I’ve taken both these lessons to heart and integrated them in to the business ethos at Maid to Clean.
My role in Maid to Clean is split between supporting our office team through optimising and improving our systems and secondly, continually growing and building the business. Aside from managing Maid to Clean, I enjoy keeping myself busy with a range of activities including basketball, golf, tennis, beach volleyball (weather permitting), catching up with friends and of course, plenty of relaxing and watching Netflix!
