How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?
You can't pour from an empty cup. Getting in the right fuel helps you to perform at your best when it matters the most. With so many nutrition "experts" out there deciphering fact from fiction can be difficult. Get the right advice from a trained professional with first-hand experience and knowledge in how nutrition and balanced health can be your secret weapon.

Seeing athletes recover from health challenges to go on to perform at their best regardless of age or initial diagnosis.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My passion for nutrition and holistic medicine began at the height of my Olympic running career as I experienced debilitating health challenges. I battled fatigue, chronic anaemia, irregular periods, fatty liver, osteoarthritis, and was diagnosed with coeliac disease. These issues were not well understood in the context of being a mature aged elite athlete and they not only interrupted my training and performance but also my long-term health. I struggled to find the right medical support to help navigate the health system and solve my health puzzle.
Inspired by the improvements in energy, endurance, digestive health and overall performance while following a naturopathic and holistic nutrition program, I started the Athlete Sanctuary, specifically to support women with similar challenges.

I help athletes all around Australia and overseas through a secure online platform that enables telehealth no matter where you are. You don't need software on your computer, tablet, or phone to access the consultation. I simply send you a link in your confirmation email.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I strictly follow the Victorian government health COVID-19 guidelines and ask all patients to do the same when they visit the clinic in person. Requirements are outlined in your confirmation email.

We welcome plant-based (vegan and vegetarian athletes) and athletes with food intolerances or allergies. Individualised meal plans including menus, recipes and shopping plans can be developed keeping in mind your specific training needs and any food intolerances or health issues you may have.
Holistic Running Coaching
Keen to improve your running performance? Looking for a qualified healthcare practitioner who is also a runner and coach? My 12 week training package provides the perfect combination of training and nutrition that will make you fire on all cylinders and have the confidence to take on new challenges! Your individualised plan can be adjusted as you go to ensure you are maximising your potential. The training package includes practical tips on sports nutrition and plenty of support including weekly check-ins, carb loading and race day nutrition support and sports nutrition advice.
