What do you love most about your job?
I love helping people to sort out issues without having to go to court, spend years in conflict or escalate into violence and abuse.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started Mediation Institute in 2013 to make training in mediation more accessible for people throughout Australia. I also focus on safety and accessibility in providing mediation services.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a leading trainer of mediation services and experienced dispute resolution practitioner. I only take on a limited number of clients at a time so have no waiting list if I indicate that I am available.
My approach is to support people to make decisions that benefit everyone impacted rather than push them into a compromise that satisfies no one.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I provide my services via zoom video meeting preferably although can deal with providing services via phone. I'm not currently offering in person services.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All services are provided remotely. Most people are not very happy with each other when they are in need of mediation so most clients prefer remote services for mediation. That allows you to speak without the added emotional stress of being in the same room.
If there has been violence or abuse in the past we can provide shuttle mediation services which mean you don't have to speak directly but can still communicate via the mediator to resolve issues that are causing problems.
