What do you love most about your job?
At Confident Minds Tutoring, we love seeing the growth in confidence our students go through as they progress and start to really grasp concepts and topics that were previously causing confusion and difficulty. It is so rewarding to see students finally comfortable with ideas that were previously a source of stress or anxiety.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Emmanuel loved tutoring students during his time as a Pharmacy student and after a break from tutoring while working as a full time pharmacist he decided to reduce his retail pharmacy hours to allow him to once again pursue his passion of helping students with their studies.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Our team have been successfully delivering tutoring services online through the use of Zoom and Google Jamboard resources since the start of the pandemic in 2020. Even though we are back to normal face to face sessions now, the vast majority of our students (including local students) have still elected to stay online due to the effectiveness and convenience of this option.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We regularly sanitise all tutoring areas including desks, chairs, etc and our tutors switch to online sessions any time someone has symptoms of a cold or flu to avoid passing on infections to our students. All of our tutors are experienced at providing sessions online.
Chemistry Tutoring
Emmanuel is a practising pharmacist with over 10 years of experience mentoring and tutoring chemistry students and making even the most complicated concepts easier to understand and digest. With online classes in small groups, students are encouraged to collaborate and discuss ideas, enhancing both their own and each other's learning while covering all dot points in the Year 11 and Year 12 HSC Chemistry Syllabus. Emmanuel not only helps students understand the concepts but also teaches them how to break down and analyse exam questions, with regular revision of each topic as it is completed and also at the end of each Module. Students learn common exam question tricks, errors to avoid and techniques to maximise their exam results.
Maths Tutoring
Our experienced maths tutors are available to help students from Primary to HSC levels of maths. Students have the option of face to face sessions at our site in Matraville or online sessions from the convenience and comfort of their own home.
English Tutoring
Our experienced English tutors are available to help students improve their spelling and comprehension from Primary school level through to analysing texts and enhancing their essay writing in High school through to the HSC. Students have the option of face to face sessions at our site in Matraville or online sessions from the convenience and comfort of their own home.
Science Tutoring
Our experienced tutors are available to help students with High school science all the way through to HSC Physics and Biology. Students have the option of face to face sessions at our site in Matraville or online sessions from the convenience and comfort of their own home.
