Austinvilla Estate

As you can imagine your day you’ll want it to be stress free and nothing less then perfect.
We put our trust in the staff at Austinvilla to ensure this would happen and with complete honesty we have been met with nothing but disappointment.
I have a list of things that have been compiled together that have contributed greatly to the day not going as planned.
◦ We did not have our coordinator that was designated to us in meetings etc, to ensure our day went smoothly and as planned.
◦ Room wasn’t ready at check in time, we were told to check in at 1pm and the rooms weren’t able to be accessed until 2.30-3 causing us to wait around.
◦ Beds in the cottages weren’t made, no towels or mats in bathrooms either.
◦ Dirty bandaids left behind from previous parties, rubbish left in cottage and wasn’t cleaned to standard hygienic needs.
◦ Numbers of guest some how gotten miss communication I was then sent a final invoice on Wednesday night (wedding was the Thursday) stating $1,311 for the “x18 guest” with what I thought we had already had 70 guest down from final detail meeting!
If use would have asked for a seating chart prior to wedding day this would have been sorted.
◦ Then Friday morning at breakfast we where hit with a different total of number bill of ‘$1,471.
seams to me thing kept getting added on and not professional at all. This should have all been done prior to our day.
◦ The ceremony time was not changed back to 2:30pm after we changed it to 3:30pm we moved it back to 2:30pm at our last detail meeting..
◦ Beauty room salon was a mess, long black hairs in the hair basin, hair and rubbish everywhere.
◦ We were promised things that didn’t happen, for example being buggied down to the salon the morning of the wedding, we ended up walking down in the rain.
◦ Never able to get in contact with reception to organise buggy etc pickup once down in salon, though told by Michelle to call if we needed anything and couldn’t get through once.
◦ There was an extreme lack of organisation and communication within this venue, someone would have told us something but then someone else had to clue what was going on..
◦ 2 Unexpected amounts being owed, due to the above mentioned lack of communication and constant changing of information through hands of staff..
I honestly have more stressful memories then what I have good from Austinvilla. More...

We would love to thank you for making our wedding day such a memorable celebration with all our family and friends. The entire process from beginning to end was stress-free and beyond what we could have ever imagined.

Planning a wedding during these times of uncertainty - amidst COVID-19 lockdowns - was challenging, however, the entire team always reassured us that all would be well. Thank you for keeping my mind at ease.

A special thanks to Annalise & Tracey for their help and support throughout the day - you were amazing at keeping this bride calm and collected. All the last minute arrangements you organised were exceptional, reprinting table seatings, printing vows and much more. How can I ever repay you for going the extra mile?

Also a special thank you to Jasmine for her exceptional support throughout the evening. Moving tables, keeping all the guests happy and cuing the music … absolutely exceptional!

Thank you also to Wendy, for making sure that we were always well-informed about meetings, our finances … and of course that personal connection and touch. Thank you so much.

Every single one of our guests had an unforgettable time. I know that everyone will be raving about our wedding for years to come.

Unfortunately we couldn't go ahead with our wedding which was a shame but what happened after we cancelled our wedding was absolutely disgusting on Austinvilla's behalf.

After asking numerous time if we paid in instalments that if we had to cancel at anytime would we lose all of our money. We were told the only money would we lose is our booking deposit if we had to cancel, as long as we did it 90 days before our wedding, which was fine. We cancel 130 days out from our wedding and when we asked about getting our $4000 refund we were told that we were entitled to it after being told 3 times the only money we would lose was the booking fee.

So in short Austinvilla STOLE $4000 of our money and only offered us a credit. They did nothing but hide behind their contract which is vague at best. LIARS AND THEIVES!!!! More...
