We held a very special event here on a Sunday after a wedding on the Saturday and 2 champagne breakfasts on the Sunday and then ours at 2pm! We paid $45 per head for 60+ people plus drinks ….. $9000 for 1-2 plates of cold food per table! It was disgusting and so disappointing This was a extremely important life event which was treated as a money making machine by the owners of 48 Watt… as it was not a wedding or a champagne breakfast that they hang their hat on…..but a one off event where they had a captured audience that they would not see again along with making money for their coffers! Would we recommend this place ….NO! Do not book this place for a one off event as you will be let down and disappointed . The ambiance of the place is wonderful but the management let you down ! 48 Watt Street are so amazing and helpful I booked my wedding in with very short notice after my original venue shut down and they were super accommodating. Then covid hit and I made the decision to postpone by a year. The original day of our wedding rolled around and we received a lovely card and bottle of wine in the mail from the team here and it was so nice. They are always so helpful and make you feel special. The day before my wedding, we went in to set up and met our day of coordinator Joel. What can I say but thankyou, so much, Joel you are a beautiful person and even though you and your team had a function out back that day, somehow you still made me feel like you guys were just there for me and my set up. You took my ideas and instructions for my aisle and made it look perfect for me on the day of. On my wedding day Joel and the team were amazing. Everything ran smoothly and they made me feel at ease. The venue itself is stunning and everyone had an amazing time but for me, it was Joel and his team who made my day. Thank you to everyone at 48 Watt Street. More...
