I help people gain a deeper insight into what's happening to them at a particular point in their life. Some are recovering from past traumas or destructive relationships, others are working through depression or anxiety. Whatever it is, I help make sense of it by identifying the problem, clarifying goals, and encouraging behavioural change to create a stronger, healthier and happier you.

If you ever just need someone to talk to or listen without judgment, I honestly couldn’t recommend Eli enough. I had my first session with him a year ago, and I was terrified going in — I didn’t know what to expect, and I wasn’t even sure what was going on in my head at the time. I’d also heard some bad experiences from friends who’d been to therapy, so I was unsure.

But honestly, he changed my life. He completely shifted how I see things. Every time I left a session, it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. The small tools and advice he gave me helped in every area of my life — from friendships to how I handle tough moments.

I just finished up therapy recently, and I actually told him that whenever I’m faced with a difficult decision, I find myself thinking, “What would Eli say?” — that’s the kind of impact he’s had.

He’s a great guy, genuinely helpful, and someone I now recommend to friends, colleagues, or anyone I know who’s struggling with anything.

Talk therapy is a business oriented to help people that have conflicts within family members. In my particular case Ely has helped me gently to understand how important is to maintain boundaries with your children (even is they are adults), and tender but firm to keeps those boundaries. I am very grateful for his thoughtful input and guidance to resolve my communication skills with my son!
I have no doubt to highly recommend him as a professional!

He is very friendly and easy to get along with, and makes you feel very comfortable which really helped me open up about my problems. I found out about Eli through a community services referral. I was going through great challenges relating to purpose, focus and life direction. I was smoking, overeating and had other challenges. I had already tried several therapists but didn’t feel a connection. Since connecting with Eli I have had huge growth and shed a lot of weight. I’m feeling a sense of being back on my good path. Eli has really assisted me in clarifying my goals, and given me great tools to work with to improve my communication, confidence and my relationship. Eli guided me through the most challenging experience of my life, keeping me afloat when I felt like I might crumble. Not only did he help me navigate the immediate crisis, but he also uncovered unresolved issues from my past, for which I am forever grateful. His genuine care and dedication made a significant difference, and I am so thankful he was recommended to me. I can’t imagine having gone through that period with anyone else.

I want to express my deep gratitude for the support and guidance Eli has provided over the past nine months. Working with Eli has been a transformative experience, and he has helped me understand and address the complex issues rooted in my childhood trauma. His strengths lie in his ability to create a safe and calm space to build a strong working relationship.

As a 38-year-old man, I was initially hesitant to seek therapy, but I am so glad I took that step. Eli helped me make sense of my life journey and focussed on the root issues rather than just treating my symptoms (anxiety, shame, a harsh inner critic, and aloofness). Although I am still a work in progress, I feel mentally, emotionally and psychologically anchored.

Finally, I want to thank Eli for treating me with kindness and respect, and for also treating me as a friend whilst balancing the professional therapist-client protocol at all times. Thanks Eli for everything!

Eli has been a very strong pillar of support for years for me. I never wanted to go to therapy it was always hard for me to talk about my problems, my wife found eli so I thought I’d give it a go. Eli is amazing, he is nice and understanding, he helped understand the big picture and were my problems started and showed me the way forward, because of eli iv been able to face my problems and battle with a solution for the better, also express how I am feeling, listen and understand how someone else is feeling. I had a great experience with Eli and overall would highly recommend. He was very accomodating when organising the sessions. The main thing I would like to highlight is that I found he was able to accurately explain and put a name to certain things I wasn’t aware of, explaining and relating it to me while ensuring a safe space. I was referred to see Eli at Talk Therapy by a friend who could see that I was trapped in my thinking that was not serving me well.

Eli has a unique gift of being able to listen and then process my thought patterns and behaviour, in a very considered, engaging and effective way.

After a few sessions with Eli, I was able to uncover what was at the core of my beliefs of the world around me, the nature of the relationships I have with family and friends and I believe most importantly, shining a light on my internal world. I feel I have more conviction in my beliefs and feel more aligned to my values. I also feel a lot more free to explore things I haven’t experienced before, including tapping into my creativity. Overall, my quality of life is now at such a different level to what is was beforehand.

This was all done in a safe and thought-provoking way. I am so grateful that I was referred to Eli.

Eli is truly a professional and an amazing human being.
He takes very little time to understand your pain points and he really works on them until the problem you have is solved.
He can also find other issues that you might have to work on and that you never thought about. :)
I enjoyed each and every moment of this path.
I reached my happiness and balance through his wise talks, his hard work and kindness.
Whenever I will have a problem I will call him straight away.
I will recommend Eli to whoever needs a honest and incredible therapist.

Eli is a very warm and welcoming therapist and a good listener. I like that he uses and exercises during our sessions which have helped me to learn more about myself. Eli is a wonderfully empathetic and kind person. Within merely a number of weeks, I have been able to identify some of the roots of my anxiety, triggers and coping strategies with the help of Eli.
Through working with Eli, I have also benefited from his extensive knowledge of psychology and his informative approach throughout his sessions. This is turn helped me to understand my emotions and actions on yet another level.

I find it rewarding to see real improvement in the lives of my clients. Many feel hopeless when they first arrive and after a few short weeks you can start to see changes taking shape.

Therapists work most effectively in private practice. Its difficult for big institutions to personalise services. Working in private practice is the best way to help people get better.

Just like athletes or musicians who are born with an advantage, the same is true for therapist. Some people are better at it than others. I'm lucky to have been born with a natural curiosity which is necessary for effective therapy. A good therapist doesn't have the right answers, they have the right questions which identify patterns of behaviour that hinder someone's ability to form relationships, make sensible decisions, manage emotions or communicate effectively.

Yes, I provide phone therapy but I prefer to see clients face-to-face. Therapy seems to work more effectively that way.

During the pandemic I moved my office. But now that the pandemic is over adjustments are no longer necessary.

Services

I work with many clients who experience anxiety. In my experience, the emotional connection to anxiety is more important than cognitive (thought) patterns. Exploring your emotional relationship with anxiety is the gateway to changing that relationship.

Schema therapy addresses a whole range of issues from eating disorders to depression. It is commonly used for long-standing problems and has shown remarkable results in helping people to change negative patterns that they have lived with for a long time.
