While planning our wedding, we came across DJ Sexy Simo via Facebook. Having explored other social media platforms for other vendors, we reached out to inquire about availability and prices.
We were amazed at the affordability of the pricing, and after a few emails back and forth, we booked DJ Sexy Simo. From then on, the process right up until the day was faultless. DJ Sexy Simo is a wonderful communicator, and it made us appreciate choosing him for our special day even more. Despite not specializing in our preferred music choices, DJ Sexy Simo was happy to accommodate a playlist of similar songs to our style.
On the day, the music was exactly what we were hoping it would be. Unfortunately, we’d decided to set up DJ Sexy Simo inside the reception venue instead of the outside deck in case of any potential wet weather. Through no fault of his, the weather remained warm and dry, so many of our guests opted to stay outside and enjoy the warmer evening.
If we were looking for a DJ for a future event, DJ Sexy Simo would be my first port of call. We absolutely would book him again in a heartbeat!

Daniel our DJ was fantastic. We had him dj for our son’s year 6 graduation party at a hall with about 90 guests. Daniel was great from the start. You can tell he is highly experienced because from start to finish nothing was a problem and always providing solutions without hesitation. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
You may have heard of DJs 'reading the crowd'. While it's not really a secret, it's something we have to be mindful of. Play a song and see people's reactions. Then you'll know whether to change up the genre or just keep playing what people love. I always have some secret weapon songs that really entice people to get on the dancefloor too.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
As a Music Producer, I am mainly into Trance, Hardstyle and Old School Dance genres. However for a private event, it's up to you. You tell me what type of music you want to hear at the event, and I will play it.
What do you love most about your job?
I've loved music since as long as I can remember. To be able to play music in a way that shares that passion with everyone around me is an awesome feeling. It's an even better feeling playing a track that you have produced yourself and seeing people's positive reaction. There is no better feeling than that!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been DJ'ing and Producing just for fun for many years (since I was a teenager). I finally decided it was time to take this to the next level and do it professionally.
Why should our clients choose you?
Before COVID-19, I was a club based DJ. So what does that mean? They do not let you play at clubs unless you have experience with mixing, beat matching, remixing, producing etc. There are a lot of DJs out there who will do the bare minimum for your event. They'll pre-select a playlist, and let some software automatically play it for them. There is no mixing, so the transition between songs is messy. I ensure that I try and do the best possible custom playlist and mixing for anyone who hires me.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Part of my business is Music Production. While I don't offer to do ghost producing for people, I will often offer remixes, bootlegs or custom mega-mixes for those who hire me. This can be done and shared online before any event.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am personally double vaccinated with my booster shot. I also work in Healthcare, so I am well aware of the importance of hand hygiene. I would never attend any venue while infectious, and if for some reason I would have to cancel due to COVID-19 restrictions, you would receive a full refund.
