I am 67 years old and after my daughter passed I inherited her beautiful children and a mortgage. There was a time I thought I was going to lose the roof over my head. Without John, I believe I would have. He guided me step by step with detailed information. He texted and emailed after hours and made sure every signed documentation was submitted correctly. Week after week we got closer and closer to refinancing my daughter’s home and I can finally say I see the light at the end of a very dark tunnel. I got in touch with John Afendulis at Next Step Mortgage Broking through a friend. John anticipated the questions I would have as a first home buyer and explained the whole process of buying a home from auction/private sale to mortgaging of the home. My circumstances were peculiar in that my household had two incomes, but for the purpose of the loan, most lenders counted us as a single income household with a dependent, resulting in smaller amounts. John was really good to deal with when I was looking to refinance my home loan. Banks and numbers are not really my forte but he was patient with explaining it all to me and found a bank with a better interest rate that I was on plus a cashback. Highly recommend!
