What do you love most about your job?
Facilitating and witnessing a client's growth and transformation is the most rewarding aspect of the work I do.
As we unpack and loosen up the layers of past conditioning, and create space for what (really) is in the present, inviting compassion and curiosity, self-empowerment and healing are not far behind.
Even when challenges persist in a client's life, giving themselves permission to no longer fight and resist, but to accept, process and release, so much more becomes available and accessible to them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After spending many years in the corporate world, I was drawn to seek the freedom and flexibility to grow and express my skills into the world in a more unique way.
Being in private practice allows me to connect with potential clients directly, person to person, and I have more influence over what, when, and how I can best meet my client's needs, whilst honouring mine.
Why should our clients choose you?
I love when I ask a new client, what resonated with them from my profile or website, and it is that unique resonance that we build on, a particular intersection of what a client needs/wants and what I have to offer. It is our meeting place.
As research has shown, it is the therapeutic connection that matters most in relation to therapeutic outcomes, and I wish that everyone reading this finds that resonant connection, whether it is with me, or another uniquely competent therapist.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I was reluctant to go online initially but like many of us, I had to adapt. I have grown to love and champion the flexibility and accessibility of online therapeutic services.
I know for many clients in-person sessions are a preference, and I continue to meet with clients in Sydney, NSW, Australia, in a limited capacity.
I am able to offer sliding scale fees for online sessions, and have more flexible availability.
Counselling
Short-term counselling can be helpful in times of crisis, loss or transition, or as a reflective space, in which you can reassess your life's priorities, set goals and review progress.
Psychotherapy
Longer term psychotherapy can be helpful when you become aware of ineffective coping patterns, and/or unprocessed emotions, associated with past traumas and painful events, that keep arising to be healed.
