Cate, for me, was a unique find for my fashion magazine for graphic work and layout.
For whatever reason, I did not look at Cates's previous work.
I had a gut feeling that I had found who I needed, and true to that, I engaged Cate for the required work.
I am in Brisbane, and Cate is down south, and I have never met her before. It's a big gamble, yes, but the old saying is, go with your gut feeling.
Cate could show me the page layouts in real time in a flipping book style, which meant fewer changes, backwards and forwards, as I could leave comments on the side, and she could change them.
Cate was a delight to work with, taking the 3/4 phone calls, and her reliability was outstanding.
I have another two magazines coming up this year, and I will again engage Cate for all works regarding graphic work.

Describe your creative process.
I am so excited to get cracking! I usually spend some time researching, then go into a creative development stage, where I design some initial concepts, from these I will liase with my client to make sure I am on the right path. Once I am clear on the direction I finalise any artwork.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Ideally any content they require within the designs.
What do you love most about your job?
I love that it is not the same every day, I love learning about business and service ideas and following my clients on their journey.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been designing since I was about 8 years old, where I would cut out old magazines and stick them back together again to make a new one. I have been officially in the industry for over 20 years, and had the pleasure to work on many different projects with some amazing people. Let me help you with yours!
