Absolutely the best cab service. We were stood up by a metro Adelaide company that we had pre booked and paid for. Barossa & light cab service were not only willing to drive us back to Adelaide from Barossa at a last minute request late at night but also gave us a very reasonable price. Shout out to Craig. Disappointing, rude and unreliable service. Booked a maxi cab days in advance for a 12:30am pickup. Rang to re-confirm the booking at approx 11:40pm and ensure they would be there as I know it can be busy on a Saturday night. Was unable to get through which I can understand being a busy Saturday night so called a few times leading up to 12:30am and received 2x texts messages saying we would receive a call back which never happened. Was finally able to get through at 12:31am. Was told by “Craig” that they weren’t far off. At 12:41am, our cab had still not arrived so I rang again. Was told by Craig it “would be another 10 minutes”, I asked if there would be any discount for the delay considering we booked days in advance and the cab was going to be a minimum 20 minutes late and he hung up on me. We had no confidence the cab was going to be there so we made other arrangements which required 2 trips. The return trip came back at 1:10am and the cab had only just arrived (now 40 minutes late) which we turned away. While I can understand Saturday is a busy night, this is the reason we booked in advance. The venue we were at was forced to stay open and keep a staff member on 40 minutes past closing so we didn’t have to wait outside in the cold. No notice of delay, no apology and hung up on when simply asking if a discount could be provided. There is little competition for cabs in the Barossa which results in poor service and further reinforces the need for ride share services. More...
