I normally am OK funmrnishing houses but was struggling and made the decision to get some help. She made something that I had been agonising over seem effortless.

After twenty plus years our once new house was looking decidedly shabby.
Enter Amanda who contacted painters and other trades, obtained quotes, guided us through negotiations with them, and watched over their work, while at the same time giving us advice about colours etc.
We would not have dared taking on the task ourselves, and are delighted with the end result.

What’s your interior design process?
I start with a 2 hour consultation to discuss your project, your needs and wish list. We can talk room function, practicalities, furniture placement, colours, materials, styling - the list is endless really!
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
Coastal, Mid-century, Hollywood Regency, Organic, Traditional, Transitional, Contemporary, French Provincial, Eclectic/Boho, Scandi... All styles; it's all about design and composition. I have a broad style knowledge base and suppliers catering to a wide range of tastes.
What do you love most about your job?
Being creative, listening to clients and translating their wants and needs into interior concepts, perfecting my craft and seeing happy clients! My job is about getting to know how people live and how they want to live and improving their lives. I love doing that.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I felt I had a bank of knowledge and experience to offer and having started work in the residential design industry in 1996 it was time! I wanted to be front of house, having client contact and using my creative brain to tackle design dilemmas and come up with clever solutions to enhance the lives of my clients.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have a Bachelor of Architecture and along with typical interior design projects, I can also arrange home renovations so that the design vision for your project is seamless. My architecture knowledge comes in handy all the time and is a BIG bonus.
Also my designs bring the outside in and the inside out to assist people in reconnecting with nature and I believe it makes them happier and healthier.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I do consultations via video call with supporting emails if the 'in person' option is not a possibility. I have an online platform which clients can log into to see their project and my work on it any time of day (or night).
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am fully vaccinated and maintain recommended hygiene practices. If I have a cold I reschedule for another time which suits us both. I am also available for video calls and work can be seen and approved on my online platform.
Initial Interior Consultation
An initial consultation to meet, discuss your hopes and dreams for your interior, offer suggestions and take down tasks required to complete your interior project. It can include on the spot colour and wallpaper selections. It is followed up by an emailed Consultation Summary with task list and sourced images pointing to the design direction we settle on.
Concept Design
After the Initial Consultation we offer Concept Designs per room, which include space plans, web sourced initial products and finishes, and mood boards. From there you can DIY your own project or ask us to help.
Interior Design Implementation
After Concepts have been agreed on we develop the designs and liaise with trades or builders to bring your project to life. We check in on the progress of the works and project manage the furniture orders and installation. To complete the project we style it room by room.
Art Sourcing and Styling
We can source art and style homes which need a freshen up by using existing furniture, adding pieces and arranging and advising on the hanging of artwork and procuring and placing styling items.
Window Treatments
We can arrange for curtaining, blinds and shutters to be measured and installed by our trusted contractor. We select fabrics and advise on window treatment choices.
Paint Colour and Wallpaper Consultation
An in home visit to determine which paint colours to use and select wallpaper. The consultation is followed up by an emailed report with your selections noted.
