Much of what couples deal with - loss of trust, a reduction in intimacy, a sense of disconnect with their partner, even infidelity - stems from both a lack of good communication and serious fear of conflict. I am a specialist in communication and conflict resolution, with over 20 years of experience doing this work as a coach, trainer and teacher. I have helped hundreds of couples reconnect with each other by helping them develop effective communication skills, which includes how to reduce and manage conflict. Another thing most people don't understand about conflict and communication is how much worry and anxiety play a role. So much of it starts from our fears - fears of loss, fears of failure, fears of being misunderstood. I help my clients deal with those fears effectively as they work to become better communicators, partners and co-workers. I have written a book on anxiety, and have extensive experience assisting clients in learning to deal with and diminish anxiety in their lives. Helping people reach each other - get past the old histories, the anxiety and the hurt. Conflict can take so many of us sideways, leaving us angry, hurt and unable to communicate effectively. It's outstanding to see people begin to talk to each other directly, honestly and with real compassion.
Nothing makes me happier than helping people get unstuck. The reason I studied conflict resolution in graduate school was because I witnessed first-hand in my own family how much conflict can make a mess of couples, families and relationships.
I have a long history of helping people communicate (including reducing conflict) effectively. My mission is to identify what's needed, give you what you need to move forward and help you get on with your life. Coaching relationships shouldn't drag on forever!
I in fact only do coaching online/remotely. I really enjoy face-to-face coaching work, but most of my clients work full-time jobs (and/or are full-time homemakers) and so it's easier for them to meet with me on Zoom or by phone. I also take clients in the evening and on the weekend, which is easier to do remotely.
I don't have any concerns about the virus because everything I do with my clients is remote!

To start off this review, this woman is beyond incredible at her job. I was in a dark place, had nothing going for me in my life and when our consultation took place, it was the start of changing my life. I was in the discover my life purpose program and I chose the sixth month option. How Mrs. Self was to me as a coach is beyond incredible. From helping me find purpose after football, to discovering my real purpose. She's incredible and there is no hesitation about that. To end this review, anyone and everyone should hire this incredible coach. She will take time out of her day to help me with anything and it can be times after our session. She's always there and I'm blessed to call her my coach

She’s a life changer! Before starting with Marcy I was coming out of a rough divorce with children involved. There was many different emotions and feelings that Marcy has worked with me on and has changed my life for the better! My goal was to become an overall better me and not be depressed or negative about life. Within just a few weeks with me being consistent and wanting to put in the work to become a better me, I saw the results! She created a custom program just for me! I knew I was piece of work and she stood in there with me a help me become a better individual overall! She’s helped me become a better father, confident in myself, and gave me hope in life.
