Q&As

I always meet with the client first to discuss their needs. I determine what they are trying to accomplish and get as much detail as possible.
This leads to a one-page brief that spells out the details: audience, message, deliverables, schedule, and budget. Once the brief is client approved, the development of work begins. I create 2-3 concepts and/or designs for the client to pick one to take to final. After the client has made a selection, I complete the project.


I strive to always deliver work that your audience will respond to in the way you want.
To do this, the work must capture their attention, be relevant, easy to understand, and memorable.

From the client I need to know the target audience, message and/or feeling to convey, call-to-action and any other details needed to develop on-target work.
Project Details: deliverables, timing, and specs. Knowing the budget is very helpful, but I can also provide an estimate once I know the scope of work.
It is also important to agree upon what constitutes the measure of success for the client.

I love working with a diverse group of people and companies on all different kinds of projects.

I graduated with a BFA from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, in 1988 with a major in Advertising & Design.
After working for 10 years with agencies in St. Louis, Dallas, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, I realized that I wanted to offer more. I had refined my skills but found that most agencies tended to focus on select services. I wanted to meet the individual needs of each client. Since starting my own business 20 years ago, I am now fortunate to be able to work with anyone, anywhere, and on anything.

My campaign "Homer's Better Brain" for Intel was honored by Ad Week in their 50 best campaigns of the decade. It is the highest recalled spot in Intel's history and drove record breaking sales for the Pentium ll launch.
