Visited here a couple of weeks ago with my friend. I had the hazelnut amaretto torte and it was delicious. I don't drink coffee but enjoyed a cold water. I also bought some hand made chocolates. It is set in a quiet strip and the staff were friendly. Especially the owner Edis. Her enthusiasm and the taste of the cakes and chocolates will bring me back. When you need a sugar fix this cafe hits the spot More...

My parents kept talking about this place and they  ordered the cheese puffs, frozen, for cooking at home (this is a special ask, they are normally hot on the spot) and the flourless chocolate cake for xmas dinner. But when we walked in to pick these up the fun began. There is a Black Gold cookie that is quite possibly the best cookie I have ever had and a hot cheese puff was ridiculously good. We proceeded to buy almost everything in the store including the chocolate almond stars that my mother thought were molasses. What an incredible place. Off the beaten path and worth the drive. I love this place, but not so much for the sweets (they're good but they're not what I come for). I come here for a taste of Brazil - namely the pao de queijo (cheese balls), and, now also, the coxinhas (fried potato cones filled with chicken). They both are really scrumptious and the best I've had in Austin so far. A note to make - the coxinhas are sized small but they're still very enjoyable with great flavors. I've seen other places also make cheese balls but I still think the ones here are above the rest. Service is very friendly and casual, as it is a mom and pop establishment (usually I see just two people here) and the owners are always in the back working on their next sweet creation. More...

Stepped into this place on a whim. My son who doesn't care for sweets generally, was taken by the moist looking slice of lemon cake. I chose chocolate. I noticed the small heart shaped cakes and couldn't help but think it was perfect for valentine's or an anniversary. My son says in a giddy voice from yesteryear "try my cake"! He had reason to smile, it was divine and easily the best lemon cake I've ever tried. My chocolate ganache was perfect. It's completely out of the way but I can't wait to go back. More...

The best bakery in Austin, Texas! Â Edis is a hidden gem. Â They offer the most amazing cakes, cookies, chocolates and other baked goods. Â Not only is it the perfect spot for a sweet treat just because, they create amazing desserts for parties and holiday celebrations. Â The short bread decorated cookies are a favorite for little ones, the chocolate mousse is a crowd pleaser for my husband and my personal favorite is the Meyer Lemon Cake! More...

Edis' Chocolates sells the most FABULOUS truffles...  the Hazelnut, pistachio and Double Chocolate are absolutely irresistible! I also have been delighted with Edis' cakes for our birthdays and celebrations: Family favorites are the  flourless Chocolate and the Italian Cream...always, always delicious. Edis is a gifted chocolatier! And if I am in a salty mood...I enjoy Edis' gluten-free Cheese Bread.... just as awesome as the chocolates. More...

Heaven is on earth! Every single thing on the menu is absolutely delicious! The hand rolled truffles are the best I have ever had even in my travels abroad. I have tried practically everything on the menu and my absolute favorites (because I can't pick just one) are the meyer lemon cake, the hazlenut amaretto torte (your eyes will roll back with each bite) and the flourless chocolate cake which is so decadent and rich, it just melts on your tongue! The shop is a hidden gem and I truly hope it becomes the sensation it deserves to be. The owner and her daughter are wonderfully warm and the ambiance is that of a cafe you would experience traveling abroad, a place to linger, be leisurely and indulge! Flavor, Beauty, Quality, Love. These are all of the things that I notice whenever I visit Edi's Chocolates. I became familiar with Edi's when she worked at the farmer's market selling chocolate mousse and gorgeous, beautifully packaged hand crafted chocolates. She also makes incredible cakes, croissants, decorative cookies and the best chocolate hazelnut torte in Austin. Next to the Meyer Lemon cake, my new favorite, the torte is beyond extraordinary. Stay home. Take your European moment at the cafe in town at Edi's. More...
