I stopped in here after a quick yelp search looking for a birthday cake and was told that I'd have to preorder which is understandable. Since it was the day of I decided to go untraditional with a variety of cupcakes. All were very tasty and satisfying! Not overly sweet either. Signed up for rewards but I wasn't told how that works. OMG!  I couldn't wait to write this review. I've finally recovered from a family week in Phoenix and getting to this.  I needed a cake delivered to our rental home where we were staying with family for my husband's birthday.  I used Yelp to make my selection.  And the reviews here didn't disappoint.  I tried to manage this over email but understandably I had to call in to complete the order so it was a little hard to make it a surprise.  The rental home was advertised as Scottsdale buuuuut not so much.  So the distance was a little far and it was suggested that I use a delivery service (can't remember the name) which worked out great.  BUT... the important part... I got exactly what I wanted and what I described.  Ordered my own cake toppers from Amazon for a quick delivery.  And seriously, check out this gorgeous cake.  But that's not it - IT'S LITERAL PERFECTION.  So moist (sorry) and the buttercream was divine.  We had enough for cake the next day!  And we finished the entire thing.  Chocolatey perfection goodness.  I'm so happy that I took a chance and crossed my fingers for an awesome chocolate cake.  You will not be disappointed. Great quality for personalized cupcakes. I got Minnie Mouse ones for my 3 year old's birthday party. I was able to order within the same week which was really nice. Price point is probably on par with what's out there that's similar. It was a little expensive, but maybe more on my part knowing 3 year olds might not eat the whole cupcake. The gluten free cupcakes vanilla cake is better than cake. You need to order a six pan, but it's fun to play with the flavor fillers and frosting. The regular cakes are spectacular too and acclaim praises from the rest of the family. More...

Something tastes funny about the Butter Cream Frosting... it tastes like Canola Oil .. Cake is moist  ... But Frosting is awful! I can't eat the whole cupcake

I went to Tiffy's desserts and ordered cupcakes and the funfetti and chocolate dream were my absolute favorites! The staff is so helpful and accommodating. I rarely give a low rating and I so badly wanted to love this place.  My wife and I were craving a homemade pie and this place advertised pies so we drove there and arrived at 5pm.  Their hours showed that they were open until 6pm so we were good.  When we walked in, there wasn't anyone in the front near the counter.  A young man came walking out of the back with a plaid shirt over his work "Tiffy's" shirt and a knit cap on.  Wasn't sure if we were at the right place or a skateboard shop.  He was even finishing up eating something in the back as he came out.  He greeted us but it wasn't the bubbly type of greeting you expect to get in a business that someone is trying to grow with their hard baking efforts.  We asked what pies were available and he informed us that those have to be pre-ordered a day ahead of time so we turned to the cupcake collection.  It was very sparse with not a whole lot of choices.  Not sure if this business has ever head of Nothing Bundt Cakes or Sprinkles but they have stiff competition.  We bought some peanut butter cookies, a sugar cookie and a confetti cupcake.  The peanut butter cookies came in a package of two cookies, two very small cookies.  They were not very tasty like when you make them at home with butter and all of the good stuff.  There was no chew or crunch to them.  The sugar cookie came in a package of one and was just okay in terms of flavor.  The cupcake was  good as well but didn't wow us.  I wouldn't make a special trip just to have one.  I hate to say this but it feels like a sad little cupcake shop.  No vibe or music when you walk in, no inventory on shelves, no experience at all.  I hope they do well and succeed but not sure they have what it takes to compete against other cake, pie and cupcake places like the ones I mentioned. We ordered a vanilla bean cake with raspberry filling for a baby shower and it was AMAZING! We also ordered 4 dozen mini cupcakes. The service was above and beyond. Since our party was on a Sunday-- and they are closed, the couple offered to bake us a few mini cupcakes to take during the week to make sure they didn't get dry. We took home 2 mini cupcakes and tried them Tuesday, absolutely delish! They allowed us to add on the additional mini cupcakes just a few days before the party! A few weeks ago I needed a 50th birthday cake. With only a few days to spare, Tiffy's was able to fit my order onto the schedule for Saturday pick up. I wasn't able to get to the cake in time for my gathering (MY fault completely). Was gonna get it when they opened back up on Monday. Got a call out of the blue from Tiffy herself. Smallcakes Scottsdale has been on my radar for awhile.  I drive by it on my way to and from soccer practice often... So, when deciding what to do this year for my son's 10th birthday, I decided to support this local business vs. a grocery store bakery.I called and spoke to Tiffany to place my order.  I went with 2 dozen soccer ball cupcakes (1 dozen vanilla and 1 dozen chocolate).  Since I was bringing them to the kids to enjoy post soccer practice, I thought that would be fitting!  Note that I did ask about additional customization and it's doable... ie: adding the kids' names or soccer #s to their cupcakes, but I kept it simple this time and it was just fine.Yes, it's pricey, but my son only turns 10 once, and with Covid, we didn't do a huge party or anything, so this was a special treat for everyone.I was super pleased with how they turned out and would totally recommend this business for anyone seeking a special cake or cupcakes for a celebration.
