Personal Trainers

I have spent 2 months of training on my own which not only lead to injuries but I was getting nowhere in achieving my goal, needless to say has been a frustrating situation.

I have found Tom on Bark PT website and after doing research I have decided that his Functional Fitness training will be adequate for my purposes.

Right at the first session, Tom has recognised the areas needing improvement. He has tailored each and every training session to suit my needs with strong determination and positivism. He built up a person centred individual training programme towards achieving my goal with a great focus on remaining injury free throughout. Each of his sessions improved my strength and flexibility, stayed injury free and took me a step closer to achieving my goal. For someone who hasn’t ever had a PT, he has made me feel comfortable and confident, providing genuine tailored advices.

Tom has been a vital help throughout and his sessions have not only been great fun, but also improved my physical well being. He is without a doubt extremely knowledgeable in his area of expertise, giving you the right advice at each session. I would highly recommend with confidence and no hesitation his training methods. There are few PT’s that combine both knowledge and genuine interest in their clients, but Tom has surely exceeded them with his outstanding approach, not to mention he was training alongside me.

Despite being pretty fit for my age, I recently ended up bedridden with a lower back ligament injury. After my NHS physio showed me tailored lower back exercises to add mobility and strength, I looked into getting a personal trainer.

After an assessment, Tom knew the areas of the body that needed the most work – hamstring and hip suppleness, as well as core strength – which were lacking in spite of jogging, bench presses in the gym and playing tennis.

Tom was always positive and encouraging, correcting my form during exercises without being a military sergeant.

Tom demonstrated some exercises that looked easy, but I collapsed after 3 reps without a dumbbell in sight! However, over the weeks and with Tom’s tailored progressions, I got stronger and stronger and my back twinges became a distant memory.

When I forgot the exercises from our sessions, the app Tom uses showed in detail how to do them for my repeated sessions on my own.

I would highly recommend Tom as a PT for his knowledge, professionalism and friendliness.

I provide a free consultation and fitness assessment aimed at getting a complete understanding of their exercise past, their goals and their current level of fitness. From their I create a programme in which i provide my clients with a functional way to achieve their fitness goals and more. My clients are able to track their progress through my online training platform and go through video workouts when not with me. I offer motivation and guidance support 7 days a week to make sure my clients are as focused as possible during their time with me.

CONSISTENCY - There is no getting away from it. Yes I will make sure I am using the best evidence based techniques to get you their as quickly as possible but at the end of the day its down to YOU and whether you are willing to keep it up when your not with me
